They decided to take vacation in July this year. They got a good deal on one of those package deals that get faxed to the pct.

That's not fair!!! My PAA took our vacation deals, so I thot they were for handi capped people.... That lying biotch!!!

Instructors got vacation from march to august.

Last i heard the dept cant afford to lose any cops since crime is up so there are no sgt promotions until very late in 2010, near the graduation of the new class and the new year.

On July 9th Dumb Brass posted on another thread that they will put in a big class in Sept. and finish off the list, now he's saying there will be an August class. This guy is obviously a tool, doesn't know anyone and doesn't have a source, just ignore him........

Guys...they just promoted 40 Sgts to LT plus 1250 recruits in the academy. Any idiot on this job knows that there is a need for sgts. Usually they don't have an august class cause the instructors take vaca but you never know. I'm on the 09 list and my boy in my squad is on the 08 list and under 20 names away. I have a running bet with him that he'll be gone by sept. So well see. Let's hope for the best.

I heard two rumors:

1. Class going in August 2nd, not sure of how many. (Hope its true because I'd like to see some movement on this list)

2.No class for August and September also looks bleak. (Hope this rumor is wrong)

Sources are not credible and again they are just rumors. I hope classes start to pick up again. I would like to see the 2008 list be completed so they can start the 2009 list. Good luck.

If there is going to be an Aug. class then the finest should come down a week from today and yet no one has heard anything? I guess we're looking at Sept.

SBA delegate at my command claims that the sba office informed him that the dept was short 10 sergeants prior to the last round of promotions. they were do to put in 50 total to make up for the 40 lt's they just made. they also told him 200 sgts to be made by the end of year total. They are figuring there will be more lt's getting done and the class graduating.....to be continued...the waiting continues
