i AM HEARING SOME BAD NEWS FOR THE GUYS LEFT ON THE 2008 TEST. I HEARD THEY WILL CUT THAT LIST START OFF WITH THE NEW ONE. i HEARD A LOT OF HIGH BRASS PEEPS AR ON THE 09 LIST. THAT WOULD SUCK FOR THOSE POOR GUY . THE'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG SOME OF THEM DIDN'T EVEN TAKE THE 09 TEST. HOW MANY PEOPLE THIONK THIS RUMOR IS TRUE. ATTACH IS THE POLL
I thought awhile ago they may cut that list short, however now with that two day training course prior to entering bmoc, and the time it seems to take to make sure the first 50 or so from the 2009 list are good to get into bmoc wise, credits etc, I just don't see them cutting the 08 list.. Unless they cut the last 90 names, and I just don't see the point of that.
Dude, don't understand how people finds time to post nonsense. Nothing will get cut short and those who pass the 08 and 09 exam will eventually get promoted. for the past few years it's taken approximately two to two and half years to promote everyone on a list.

yea they definitely wont cut the list with under 200 names left. all they have to do is promote 40-50 cops every other month like they've been doing since april last year and the 08 list would be exhausted by the fall. also the 09 list was only made 'public', it hasnt been 'established' yet. alot of guys on the 09 list make 5 years in july anyway. so they can milk the 08 list for the majority of this year if they so choose
Nothing in life is guaranteed but death and taxes, so I guess it is possible to cut the 08 list, but I don't believe it is likely. The list that came out from what I was told was not "established", so the clock won't start ticking and for all intent and purposes, the 08 list is the only list they are promoting from. There aren't that many names left on that, even with the crap economy. I know of 4 lts that are retiring which means 4 sgts will get promoted to lt which means they need 4 more sgts. Because you can send a Sgt. pretty much anywhere, there will always be a need for sgts. It may take a little longer than we like, but the 08 list will be promoted and I think the 09 list will also move, just maybe slower than we like. Congratulations again to everyone and we will all be in BMOC. We just need to be patient.
