FINALLY

LIST TO BE ESTABLISHED VERY SOON

FROM RELIABLE SOURCE. DCAS HAS COMPLETED THE FINAL RESULTS OF THE TEST.
THEY ARE NOW WORKING ON THE SENIORITY POINTS.
THERE IS NO CANCELLATION OF THE TEST AS PREDICTED BY CERTAIN PEOPLE.
I WOULD SAID FIRST FEW WEEKS OF MARCH.

WE HAVE BEEN WAITING A LONG YEAR WHAT'S ANOTHER MONTH OR 2.

AGAIN, WHAT DO I KNOW I'M JUST A COP WITH NO HOOK.

Hah, they are now just doing seniority points? The seniority points are based on the date you took the test. Not a year after.

The entire list was graded and scored with all bonus points months and months ago.

They arent releasing the list because another one is active. Its not because they didnt finish grading it yet.

LOL, I was just talking with a sergeant from my command, he was relaying how when he was waiting to get made he used to log into exam X and post bull**** rumors from "reliable sources" and get everyone fired up. Not saying this is the case but i venture to say we have more than enough jokesters on here. You just gotta laugh at some of these posts.

Ok actually I just heard some news. My brother used to date this girl. Well her father had a friend who did business with a guy who just last Saturday sat next to a woman at a restaurant in the city. He overheard this woman say that her best friend's son is on the job in Walla Walla, Washington. This friend emailed her son and said that his best friend goes to school with a guy who used to date his sister (but thats another story). Anyway that guy has a gay neighbor. This neighbor told him that he has a cousin twice removed from his mother's side who used to work for DCAS but keeps in touch with the savages that work there. Supposedly they told him that the list is coming out next month. Take it for what its worth.

brooklyn, just to correct you, seniority points are points added onto your final passing score based on the amount of time you have on the job.

HEY BROOKLYN BEFORE YOU CAN CORRECT SOMEONE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.
LIKE DETOX SAID,  SENIORITY POINTS ARE ADD ONS TO YOUR PASSING SCORE.. I WILL ADD, THEY ARE BASED ON TIME ON THE JOB AT THE TIME ONE TAKE THE TEST.  THIS IS ACCURATE INFORMATION I AM GIVING YOU. DCAS IS NOW IN THE PROCESS OF ADDING SENIORITY POINTS. DEPENDING ON HOW MANY PEOPLE PASSED THE TEST, THIS PROCESS CAN BE RELATIVELY SLOW. I DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY STARTED DOING THAT.

Are seniority points rewarded automatically or what? I was never told to put in for them.

THEY ARE ADDED AUTOMATICALLY BASED ON YOUR DATE OF APPOINTMENT TO THE JOB AND DATE OF THE EXAM.

GO TO http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcas/downloads/pdf/noes/200808564000.pdf
THAT EXPLAINS SENIORITY AND DEPARTMENTAL AWARD POINTS.

Unfortunately, there isnt a sure-fire way to figure that out until the list is actually established.  Trust me, we've tried. Average rule of thumb is 10% pass rate...so approx 7000 ppl took the test and approx 700 should pass. But who knows? Just because the scores are higher doesnt neccessarily mean that more people passed, could just mean the ones who studied did better. But again, its just a guess...confuse

3200+ took 2007 and 340 or so passed.
6300+ took 2008 and 671 passed.
6500+ took 2009 and ??? passed.

I don't want to spread more rumors, but a person who works for DCAS told me that this list has 945 names on it. Take it for what it's worth.

i doubt that 945. And whoever thinks 09 test was a joke, needs his head checked. Otherwise everyone would have passed
As most of you remember, we tried to count umos who passed this test. we went through more than half of the commands, districts, units etc. the number was 352. Hypothetically, lets add the rest and we will have around 700 which is still pretty high but definitely not 945
and also 08 test had 2 throw outs which added additional 100 names. otherwise it would have been 571...and from what all of you say there wont be any throw-outs in 09 test

The 2009 exam was a ground ball to me. Very straight forward and if you studied i think you shouldve done well. That was the test to take.

There was slightly higher then double the people in my command who passed the 09 compared to the 08 exam. Take that for what its worth.

And there will be throw outs. There are always throw outs.

i think a number like 900 is not far fetched, I have spoken too many people and yes they did score high but also seems everyone who passed has no time on the job and realized this would be the last test for a while due to the economic downturn......but people guessing about how many people passed the test is only gonna drive you nuts.....just relax dont be the guy on the train platform looking 20 times too see if the train is coming it will come when it gets there...............
