Transfer to 1 PP before being promoted from 2009 Test?

Guys -

If you had the chance to go to 1PP before you are promoted so you can go where you wanted, would you?

I am on Patrol now, good commute and hours...Thanks

pros? Cons?

If its clean work GO!!! You never know what can happen on patrol. Go somewhere with no enforcement, no CCRB's, etc.

Hmmm, not saying its a bad move-just sounds real, real, real boring. If you like your commute, hours, and are comfortable where you are then why change it? Your already bettering yourself by passing the test! Yes, people do get jammed up being in the field, and yes there are those nightmare stories, but most people get promoted from PSB without any problems. If desk work is for you go for it, but if u dislike it then your mind should already b made up

If you have the chance to get off patrol run for it. I Don't know if you read the dept. orders but, you can't do police work anymore. So why get your hands dirty if you don't have to. Trust me you will still have pride, make the same money, maybe more. I don't know a patrol cop getting 50hrs a month w/o making collars. The Choice is yours my friend.
