Unofficial list means .. They didn't add senority points epds, etc.. Eveyone is telling me a list must be public within a yr of the test.. Let's just see.., or ask around your bosses n see what they say ...

I called Dcas a few months back, the lady I spoke with said dcas has 6 months to a year to establish a list.

I dont think the LT and CAPT tests were established within a year. I dont see why this one would be different.

DCAS doesn't have to do anything. The only thing that has to be done is when the "Official" list is out they must keep the list open for one year the "official" list is established and close it no later than four years. In the past, my bosses have told me that they have printed an "unofficial" list. It gives candidates a chance to see where they are and at the same time, it keeps the clock from ticking toward that 1 year mark.

Nobody wants to get promoted more than I do. However, I am realistic, and realistically, I don't see promotions happening too quickly.

TRUST ME GUYS.. IMI'M NOT RUSHING ANYTHING, IMI'M JUST SAYING FROM WHAT I HEARD FROM BOSSES W TIME ON, IT MAKES SENSE THAT THEY WILL ANNOUNCE A LIST BEFORE THE SUPERBOWL... DOESNTDOESN'T MEAN THEY WILL START PROMOTING, BUT RATHER, sIMPLY JUST ANNOUNCE A LIST SO SOME OF US COULD BREATHE A LIL EASIER.. N ALSO SO MAYBE THEY COULD ANNOUNCE ANOTHER TEST BY THE END OF THE YR.. ALSO IF YOU THINK BOUT IT, THIS TERROR TRIAL WILL LAST A YR AND NEED ALOT OF COPS NOT TO MENTION BOSSES..

As per Employee Relations Unit, 2009 Sergeants' exam is not expected to be promulgated until April 2010.

Guys I was talking about the "Newark police dept list" .... Lol. ...Sorry guys... that's what I heard... I'm starting to believe that maybe I never took the 2009 test.... This is nuts...how bout the "who " ??!! Even the band wanted to know "who" passed ... They sang about a "policeman who knew his name...wonder if dcas knows my name??
