I always have faith in Cat and hope she is right. But I was told today that Iam not going in next class and I am in the 340's. They said 70 go in and 55 of those are 5 years wonders. So it looks like 330's. That comes from an inside source. But I hope Cat is right.

well guys, next wednesday june, 24 the truth will be told... can we just be happy that this thing is moving along at least...

on a much happier note, for the first three years a rookie SGT is making about $200-$300 dollars more than a top-cop. it is only after the fourth year that you finally get a real raise of 17,000. because of this i personally know two guys with over 15 years on who are passing up the promotion. so for you guys getting made don't forget to thank the SBA speakers...

Rumor mill, your #s are 100% incorrect. Either your source is toying with you, or perhaps you are just making **** up.

up to list #314 there are a total of 22 people that were skipped due to time AND become eligible July 1st, and some of them may have things pending that they can not be promoted anyway.

including those previous 22 (listed above), up to list #500 there are an additional 15 skipped due to time, that become eligible July 1st, TOTALING 37 skipped due to TIME. This does not mean they will be promoted, as there are people ahead of them on the list that still havent been reached but are eligible. Remember, the 37 skipped due to time is only up to list #500.

Of those 22 skipped for different reasons over the past few months,

2 were reached on the 4th BMOC and skipped for BMOCs #4/5

Phil- Where did you get you're numbers from? Just asking- went down the list- checked those that have been promoted, passed over due to TIME and the rest that were passed over for whatever other reason. Though my numbers me be off by 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 or 4- they're definitely not close to what you have.

Going up to list # 314:
22 will reach their time in January of 2010
About 55-57 Reach their time July 1
and about 12-14 were passed over for other reasons.

Someone stated earlier that 253 resigned- double checked and he did...
so though my #'s may be off by a few here and there, they are no where near what you got.

Including #636 is 63 with 01/10/10
but there are 2 people with a start date of 07/14/05 that is in the 500s that is not included in the 63. I have no idea how they could have taken the exam and get a list # when they did not have 3 years at the date of the exam. Their 3rd year anniversary would have been 07/14/08 and the exam was in 01/08. Who knows....maybe they resigned/retired and came back on the job and passed the exam but they have to be on the job for 3 consecutive years before they can be promoted.

I have # 126 already called and #12, #130 someone please help me out I don't know why, but I do if they was on two lists or some other reason.(many of the ppl in that list was called already) someone correct me if I am wrong, but look at the finest messages.

I believe #116 started 07/01/04 because there is only 1 person in this department with that name and he/she started on that date. I could be wrong.

List# 60 is 07/01/04, I made a mistake because there are 2 people in this dept that has the same name and I thought it was the other one.

List#172 was promoted on 09/28/08

List#185 was promoted on 04/24/09

#16 did start 7/01/04...... #60 is apart of the 7/1/04 class that would make 55 total from the july 04 people..........which would seem to go with cats 55 going in.....

i heard usually there isnt anothe bmoc until sept due to instructors taking vacation in the summer.

For what reasons do you need to know except to be NOSEY. As stated they promoted up to 306 and with the info supplied if your list# is anything after #306, "YOU AINT GETTING PROMOTED FOR THE JULY BMOC"

Just accept it for what it is.
