I have 7 years on and just recieved a leter for another police dept and i am not sure if i should do what is needed. I am a cop not a boss but iam at top pay the new job would be in westchester starting at 56k going to 86k I live in west as well. Please no stupid comments just trying to see what other people think or what they would do

iF YOU ARE ABLE TO CARRY YOUR TIME OVER TAKE THE OTHER JOB. JUST THINK ABOUT IT. NO MORE STUPID CCRB, BOSSES TALKING TO YOU AS THOUGH YOU ARE AN INCOMPETENT PIECE OF YOU KNOW WHAT, LESS OR NO CRIMINALS TO WORK WITH THAT YOU HAVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE AS YOUR FELLOW OFFICER BECAUSE THE DEPT IS SO DESPERATE TO HIRE COPS.
AND THERE YOU YOU HAVE IT.

I would not want to start over. If you hate the job, yes but If you are at top pay and you have 13 yrs to go and are not hating the job....I would stay because the grass is not always greener...

I am betting that one day we go to 10-12 hr tours....watch!

follow the voice inside you, you just have to want to hear it...

my cousing got laid off from IBM after 22 yrs....either way you will be OK
