I wish it were true but...

If the job needs Sergeants that bad, they have 400 bodies they could promote tomorrow, and a few hundred from the last test.

TELL YOUR IMAGINARY SOURCES THAT THE LIST IS NOT EVEN OUT YET SO HOW WOULD THEY KNOW HOW MANY PASSED confuse.  STOP SPREADING RETARDED RUMORS BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU FAILED AND DO NOT WANT TO FEEL LONELY.no

It may be a rumor, but I'm not shocked that they have a rough number as to how many passed.

Actually...for your information, according to this answer sheet i got a 77.  im not too worried...if i passed good for me, if not whatever.  and my source is a pretty nice guy who i was having a casual convo about failing and studying for 5 months.   His response was, there will be another exam next year.  thats all im saying.   Just end this thread and leave it alone...end of story!   Good luck to you buddy

why is it so hard to believe that another test is out of the realm of possibility?  this is the 3rd consecutive test...besides even if you do get 600 people on this list, the department has almost 150000 employees...civilian/uniformed....600 is nothing...Brooklyn North can use a couple of hunded ..lol

Theres about 400 left on the 2008 exam and if a decent amount pass this exam then the department will be sitting on about 1000 sgts in a hiring freeze/slowdown.

You guys do realize a bmoc class of sgts hasnt been put in since December right? If the economy stays the same and the budget stays the same then 1000 sgts will be fine to hold them off until 2011, when i believe the next test will be.

Well I say one thing, I pu t my money it will be a test administer for 2010. It doesn't take a scientist to know that. How much does the city makes giving this exam? So let's give Ihate the PG credit.

IhatePG212207, I had a similar conversation yesterday with a person who seems to be in a position to know at 1PP. Am I 100% sure that there will be another exam in 2010? No, but it is possible. Maybe they'll give it in December 2010. My friend was positive about it but I think that he was also trying to give me hope. I'm pretty crushed thinking that I failed this exam.

For all that it's worth, my information supports yours, IHPG.

NYG, I am so close to passing that it's driving me nuts! It can go either way. I figure that if I don't get below a 68 I have a very good chance of making it when the final DCAS key comes out. I am praying.

I have to see it to believe it. That would be better than when the test was graded on a curve. blankstare even then the list was only like 1200. hmmmmm

I know of 7 people from my command that passed , lowest score 74 highest so far was a 94. This is going to be a big list , last test 3 from my command passed and the test before only 1 , if I had to guess I would say at least 1400 passed this test

No way 1400 passed. I don't believe that more than 700 have passed.

tops 1000 if they are lucky that passed. i say anywhere from 500-1000 in that range

The average people who passed is usually 1/10. So if 5000 signed up then the list would be about 500.

Though i wouldnt be surprised if a large amount passed since this was a ground ball of an exam.

I really doubt they will have another test in 2010. I'm also thinking along the lines of 2011. With academy classes of 250 recruits and 300 sergeants or so on the current list sitting on standby and this test is going to have 500-600 minimum from what I'm heard from the driver of the inspector of the 75 who is banging the daughter of the SPAA who knows someone down @DCAS.
