i was reading about this question when the pct takes the 61 and who to fax it to....i was confused so i am lookin at it now
most people said goes to OCCB but..go to the PG and read the box on page 335 towards the bottom of it, states
a. in ARREST situations a copy of the 61 will be forwarded to the Ivestigative support division, OCCB OR
In instances where controlled subtance/drug paraphenalia is found in a building a copy of the 61 will be forwarded to the NARCOTICS DISTRICT, occb, or narcotics operations, strategica nd tactical command brooklyn north SATCOM for informational purposes
so then since there was no arrest, it would be narcotics correct....i think there was a question about this on one of the practice ones and i got it wrong and the narcotics bureau was correct thats why i remembered it...
i am 99 percent sure that question 90(that is the one with who do you refer the 61 for the 2 oz of drugs to) is A not C because answer c stated to send it to OCCB and answer A stated to send it to brooklyn south Narcotics division which was the right answer according to a KEY instructor that i e-mailed.
umm not to stir anything up but I was looking for the thread with the narco question and couldn't find it.
207-08 NOTE in incidents of found controlled substances or drug paraphernalia, in any amount, when found in a building, precinct of occurance gets the number and copies will be forwarded to:
a: arrest situations to the investigative support division, occb, or
b: when found in a building, a copy gets forwarded to the concerned narcotics district, occb, or narcotics operations, strategic and tactical command, brooklyn north(SATCOM)
so with that being said, according to B, it can go to the concered narcotics district OR occb OR narcotics operations SATCOM
I don't recall but did the answer choices say investigative support division occb, or just occb because if it just said occb then that and brooklyn south narcotics would be the answer because of the COMMA and the OR making it a double answer, if anyone has further clarification please chime in.
3yr that's a great point I didn't even notice that, I would protest that question even if it did say Investigative Suppot Division because that still falls under OCCB, it's all about articulation.
