UPDATED KEY!!!

After comparing my answers with Bert; I wonder if I took the same test. It was Feb. 7th, wasn't it? LOL. I got a 42. Comparing it with other people in my command, I averaged between 47 to a 64. Not to scare you guys, BUT, the odds are always higher on failures than passing grades. For example; If 5,000 people take the test, I am almost accurate in saying that less than 700 pass. I just wish everyone the best! For those who make it, never forget you were a COP before becoming a boss. Become one of the good bosses, not the a**hole of the command. For those who failed, make it a learning experience. This was my second time around, and I'm positive third time's a charm! So I will see you on the next test. Too bad the test was not about Dominoes! CAPI-KUHH!!!!! LOL. Don't forget to hit the Brugal and the Johnny Walker(Black) while waiting for the DCAS results! Lol. Later.

I know it's hard but try not to be too sad NofD, there will be another exam. Last exam I had a 46 and it made me feel terrible but at least I did not wait holding my breath for the DCAS key to come out. This time I have a 69 without counting doubles and the wait for the DCAS key is killing me. It's all I can think about, absolutely horrible. I am compulsively checking this site, it's maddening. Anyway, I truly believe that all of us that really want to will pass eventually.

yeah i know for a fact i got question #70 wrong...
also for some stupid reason the found narco in a bldg i put a pct 61# with copies for OCCB which i found is wrong...

to answer that question with the gun ... you have to understand a silencer is NOT considered an accessory by there definition it doesnt matter if its attached or not it goes on the same voucher ALWAYS. ...

rising star had a hard ass question with that kinda scenario and after that i knew id never get a gun voucher question wrong. inspector shea also was good during the course with the guns.

i dont know about you domino but i studied hard as hell am im confident in how i did brother. no worries here i slept good that night.

the Narco question... the pct gets the number and a copy goes to OCCB... Not the patrol borough narco....

RICH-PD where did you find that at??

Rich-PD, what did you get for force figures? I got 30, i'm trying to figure out who I added extra, I know for a fact that the answer is 29... did you count the SOL?

force figures i got 29 there was three officers doing a 4x12...i dont remember if i counted the SOL but i do know that anyone who started AFTER 1500 did not get counted on my roll call.

i put pct 61 with a copy to occb ... according to 207-1 i think they said if the complaint is of an occb type they get a copy of it .. so thats what i put.. i just heard from a few people they said something else...

it had to be a duplicate copy to OCCB right? .... they gotta release this answer key ... this is torture.. i spent literally almost 9 whole months gave up so much for this exam and they make me wait yet another month for the key.....

i know for a fact i did well... i honestly wanted to break 90 .. and i might have compared to bertmans key i got a 94 on this test

RICH-PD thats correct, the control substance was found in a building, if i remeber the question correctly, the pct gives the 61 # and a duplicate goes to OCCB.... one of the answers stated to send to Bk south narco, thats incorrect...

do you recall what # question that was? if memory serves me correct on that question the answer was B, because A had the dup going to BK south Narco, C & D OCCB gave the 61 a #

alright so i probably got that one right.. but as the days pass i forget which question was which i

bet for some reason it was probably one of those questions on bertmans key where it was split ....

i dont know why i start doubting myself....i had that book memorized.

i see people on thesee forums arguing over some of the simplest stuff on that test like question

16 the crime scene..... that was a gimme and same for 37 where they had the typo, easy question

..had to know they wanted the COPS duties not the DO...phencyclidine easy silencer easy.. bomb

easy , edp easy...

most of the people that post on this site especially this far had to be the ones studying so i dont doubt that most people HERE passed according to bertmans key... like i said i got a 94 compared to his so its as close to on the money as its gonna get until march 9th

i went with the duplicate to OCCB cause thats all i ever read ... sending duplicate copies to occb if its in a building but we give it the #... i though it was easy but people are swearing its like the narco district or some sh*t. all well i went with what i read so we'll see what the geniuses say from DCAS

i wish i could remember what # question that was.. i was gonna go to the protest session just to look at the exam again.. i personally believe there were 0 questions on that exam worth protesting.. it was right there... maybe the force figure question with the SOL ... thats it really ...

they locked you into a procedure in from what i can remember like every question. so it is what it is.. and thats what they will say if you think you can argue something on this test... this was my first exam so my opinion doesn't really count either.....

good luck guys you'll pass if you had put in the time and effort

RICH-PD

I agree with you all the way.... the only question that i think worth protesting is the Force Figure.... this test, my first, was not difficult...

OCCB were right, never read anything about Narco...

I didn't do as good as you, but I strongly believe that I passed this exam with at least a 85, compare to your answer sheet, I have 13 wrong

THE ANSWER TO THAT PARTICULAR QUESTION WAS NARCO DISTRICT. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE CAN NOT GO BY THE MADE UP ANSWER KEYS. JUST BECAUSE 25 PEOPLE ALLEGEDLY GOT THE SAME ANSWER DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS RIGHT. IT MAY BE MORE LIKELY TO BE THE ANSWER BUT IT IS NOT FINAL UNTIL DCAS PRINTS OUT THE FINAL KEY. I STRONGLY ADVISE THE CELEBRATING TO COME TO A HAULT. AT LEAST DON'T GO BACK TO YOUR COMMANDS BRAGGING ABOUT HOW WELL YOU DID BASED ON THESE MADE UP ANSWER KEYS.

Only 10 to 15 percent of the people taking the exam pass. If 25 people put their answer keys together and almost everyone passed, there is definitely something wrong with it.

I know God forbid the unofficial answer key is off by 1 or 2... Everyone has to be wrong... Way to be optimistic...

I definately think the DV cop requesting admin should be protested.  She called to request it, nothing in the question said she went regualr sick and apparently the answer was for her to remain in residence unless granted by the surgeon or sick desk supervisor.  That answer is written in the PG under Regular Sick.  Well that answer would be good if she went Regular Sick and not Admin Sick.  Just because she tried getting admin and isn't going to get it, doesn't mean she's definately going regular.  She sprained her ankle it could hurt then but be ok by the time she goes to work, the member needs to request regular or be told by the boss to go regular.  The boss could only give her Regular, it never said Regular was given.  It should have said something to the effect of grant her regular sick and advise her to remain at residence so on and so forth, it shouldn't be assumed that she was given regular or requested regular, it should have said it in the question or at least the answer.  If anyone agrees or disagrees give me your opinions.

according to 207-08 after step 8, it states
"B. in instances where controlled substance/drug parapernalia is found in a building, a copy of the 61 will be forwarded to the concerned Narcotics District, OCCB, or Narco Ops, Strategic & Tactical CMD, Brooklyn North (S.A.T. COM.) for informational purposes"

I stand corrected, I apologize to 20andout...

What precinct was the question talking about, I think it was the 67, which is brooklyn south.  I believe the answer choice said brooklyn north narcotics in it, in which case then it would be OCCB.  Can anyone add input to this?  I believe the answer was for it to get a precinct 61# and forwarded to OCCB

well im telling you bertmans key is as good as its gonna get .... you cant possibly tell me when i know i studied for a long time and my key matches 94 times with his that its that far off. understandably there will be some toss ups but the other 90 are right

I agree. But the people on the bubble, sitting at 72 to 78, it can still go either way. Last exam I was a victim of the answer key. I thought I passed w/73 and ended up w/68. Your answers sound solid just from reading your posts it's obvious you put in the time. I put the time in too, and feel the same as last test. I'm just saying I feel your pain!!

Guys - Are you counting the questionable ones as right or wrong? I am counting the questionable ones as wrong even though I have the same answer as the majority.  I am coming up with a 78. I should hope that some are correct and I will put me a head a few points. Is that anyone else's thoughts or should I start studying again???

Thanks for all these posts...looking forward to 3/9....good luck!

I think there will be at least 10 questions that will be wrong on that answer key and they are not necessarily questions that are marked questionable.

Yes but those questinos can also be ones that you have down as wrong. You can gain or lose points. Its tough not knowing which way its gonna go for you.

thanx... i studied my ass off too... key class every week and read the patrol guide in its entirety...
i know i got a certain questions wrong and where i got them wrong... your answers do mostly jive with mine... so i got my fingers crossed... there is no reason i shouldnt have gotten above a 70... and like you said... so many pathetic bosses... and in my current status with this dept i figured what better way to pass my time while modified for no good reason than to study... study... study....

Even if you pass the test, what makes you think that you will make a boss by the time LT exam comes. The way they promoting right now, it might take them 2 years just to establish your list and then go through it slowly. If I was you, I would hope LT exam would be in 2012 or 2013. No offense!

I READ WHAT PLAN-Q AND BEE1242 WROTE,KNOW THIS ONE THING,THAT TEST IS SOMETHING TO BE RESPECTED.I STUDIED HARD,SO MUCH TO THE POINT THAT I WENT AND USED UP MY WHOLE VACATION TO REALLY PUT IN THE HOURS.NOW IN REGARDS TO THE POST THAT THOSE THAT WENT TO THE KEY SHOULD OF GONE TO THE FAST TRACK,WELL THATS NOT THE CASE AT ALL.THESE CLASSES ARE NOT A SUPPLEMENT TO THE SOURCE WHICH IS THE PATROL GUIDE.I AGREE WITH THE STUDYING SMART PART,BUT IT ALSO INCLUDES HARD WORK.TRUTH IS THAT TO SOME IT WAS EASY TO OTHERS IT WAS A CHALLENGE.I TOOK ALL SIX HOURS,JUST LIKE LAST YEAR AND TWICE I ALMOST WALKED OUT AND  GAVE UP HAD IT NOT BEEN THE CASE THAT THOSE SIX HOURS WERE MY 27 VACATION DAYS.LAST YEAR THESE ANSWERE KEYS HAD ME AT A 69,I LOST THREE AND GAINED ONE.IS IT IN THE BALL PARK YES IT IS.THIS YEAR IT HAS ME AT A 75.GLAD I KEPT MY SEAT.
