6200 signed up for the last SGT exam and that was super high because of the SGTs new seix figure salary at that point.

After the cops latest raise i bet 3000-4000 will sign up for this exam.

Currently, there are 23000 cops, plus 8000 detectives, i can guess 7000 will sign up for this exam.

My guess it will be no more than 2500, Cops are lazy and with the new contract no one will even bother.

Exactly. Getting a new contract is a perfect and easy 'excuse' not to study.

so basically you'll have the 7 year hairbags wondering why they have to listen to the 5 year wonder boss who don't know sh*t because he doesn't have enough patrol experience (according to the 7 year hairbag). this job is hilarious. lol. the bigger picture is ..........top cops are close to the bottom pay sgt's right now , but a top pay sgt is making 100k + no ot. rumor has it that it may only take 2 years to top pay now instead of 4 because of the new pba contract. less bs more money! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? sh*t rolls downhill. u have to become a sgt b4 u can b a lt or higher. go figure.
