So whats the number that made the list? How many throw outs, etc?

What's your source? The dcas # still has no updated info as of Sunday July 13,2008. If you have more info please don't hold back.

the list will hover around 700....3 throw outs and 3 double answers.you guys that are bordering on passing with a 69 or 68 will most likely pass considering that chances are you got a few obscure questions wrong that u will now get credit for.

If it's true then maybe the list will be out Monday. The woman i spoke to yesterday at dcas said it would pobably be next week. However, she also stated yesterday that it would be ready by the evening.

Very true, list can come out anyday now. The throw outs and everything else is all done. Its just a waiting game now. As I said in previous posts,enjoy your last summer as a cop.

Has anyone been able to talk to DCAS lately?
I wonder what kind of nonesense they are telling people today. The number from last week 212 669 7229, goes to a answering machine, I guess we bombarded them with calls.
I heard from a 1 pp source that the offical # was 720 on friday, but he also said that the list was going to be out that day, so take it for what its worth.

The dcas automated system seems like it gets up dated every Sunday. So don't bother with it. Use the live #. We'll just have to wait a few days til they think the coast is clear and they answer the phone again.

It sucks cause they have the list and know your list number, but its confidential as of now. Maybe in a few days, weeks, couple of months they release it. Worst case is September. It will be hear before you know it.

Can the 2 of you have your arguments in 1 dedicated thread, this way if people want to read it or chime in they can but it doesn't get mixed in with the test stuff that most of us are really interested in reading about. If you have something constructive to say in regards to the test/list then type it in the regular forums otherwise do the bickering in the jaggedj vs cat thread.

Well enjoy the rest of the summer who knows when the list will come out it will be when we least expect it. Just make sure that the educational tracking unit has your credits in the system in the meantime. Does the final answer key come out the same day as the list?

The final list is over 700 it's in the low 700's for the other ppl in the forum the list will be out the end of aug no later than the beginning of september! they will run two lists at the same time. They don't have enough ppl to put in the next class!!!!!!!! maybe jaggedj i put truth to the rumors nobody posted about the two lists ok are you happy ? , but most of the ppl knew already because they pvt mess me! -- Edited by cat at 12:05, 2008-07-25

Highly doubt that they will run two lists there is too much involved to do this and besides since when the city makes decisions so fast? Honestly CAT not for nothing and I am not putting you down but I have PM'd you and you do not seem to have solid info. Out of curiosity I asked you when the next BMOC is going in and all you said is maybe this and maybe that. I think you just have the same information as everyone else does (hearsay). Again this is not what this forum is for but I just could not stand to see CAT pretend as if she has all the inside info when in reality she does not. CAT again I am not trying to put you down I am just telling you how I see it. Anyway back to the forum news.

Ok hopefully we will leave it at 1 - 1 and then move back to the forum news as you say.
I say cat has decent info & most people appreciate it.

on another note. DCAS finally started picking up the 212-669-7229 #, the same # they were putting out the BS info, last week they said the list was coming out that week. Now they have no Knowledge of when & dont want to acknowledge they ever said anything last week regarding the list.
september it is, I guess.

Here is a fairly close count on how many are left on the list:
38 eligible right now (unknown how many of those may be jammed up or whatever else)
22 eligible 1/20/2009
5 names on list don't come up (undercovers maybe)
2 have resigned (1 suffolk, 1 nassau)
1 eligible 1/30/2009

I can see them putting out the list after the filing for the new test in September just to get some extra money from the people who are in limbo and will have no choice but to file again. It seems petty, but we are dealing with the City of New York.

Oright....I know the rule that if your test number gets passed because you dont have enough time on then when you do get enough time on you have to get promoted even if they kill the list...For example, if you got an 80 and they start promoting people with 78s that have time on, when you hit your five you get promoted...
Now is it the same thing if lets say your someone like me thats got low 70s...The 08 list is predomenitly people with less then five years on, so when the list comes out and there trying to put in a bmoc class and there skipping over people beacause they dont have enough time to get to the people who do have enough time, does that mean that all those people must now get promoted when they hit five years??? To make the question easier, lets say there is an couple of guys with time on with 90s on the test...then the next group of guys with time on got low 70s on the test...So they have to skip all the 80s and high 70s to get enough people to fill one class...Since all those people where skipped when they hit five they get promoted???

I posted this under the other topic heading as well, but inadvertently said the 6th, which is a Saturday: I have a reliable source that is saying the new list will be active September 5th. I noticed everyone here likes to bat around rumors so I'm putting my info out there. If that holds up that would be in keeping with an October class no? Any ideas?
