I don't know if there's a standard procedure or not, but when I got promoted the finest came down the Wednesday of the week prior to bmoc beginning. So i wouldn't be surprised if you hear something towards the end of the day tour or the beginning of the 4x12 today.
That doesnt leave too many people left. Do we know exactly how many people waiting for jan 09 and how many people left the department/ not enough credits/jammed up. Good luck to all, if anyone gets official list today, please post to let us know.
if there is a class of 75 that doesn't leave much left for a possible sept. class considering 30 ppl r waiting to hit 5 years. does that mean the list for the next class will come out b 4 the sept class? and if so do u think the dept would add cops from that list on with the others for the sept class?
there is not going to be a class on june 30th for sgts the class is going to be after july 4 they are not going to take 65 cops off the street and have them miss july 4 detail that why they r putting a Lt class in on the june 30th because they get promoted up front so they can go watch and see its going to be july 7
At this point its just a battle of who has the better inside info, we wont really know until june 25th whether or not the finest will come down. In regards to what jaggedj posted, there are approximately 140 people left on the list, if they make a class of 75 that still leaves about 65. Two small classes can be made from the left overs, especially if there are any people who are jammed up waiting to be cleared and the jan 09 guys.
regardless of whether cap or brokklyns right, they are only acouple days away fromm each other, id take a couple days off to get some solid info, better than just throwing out some bs and being weeks or months off, i could do that.. caps could have been correct, but after she posted it, the job decided to make it a week later..

Didnt someone say the same thing around the Sean Bell verdict bmoc class... that they wont take 50 cops off the street in case of riots?
If the dept took 50 cops off the street for a major police verdict then they can take 75 cops off the street for fireworks. :)

bkyln insider, last yr (july 2002 academy) waitied for the same july 1st to come, guess what, they went in b4 the 4th of july, its a simple 4th of july detail theyll handle it trust me esp with it being a friday, all the desk jobs at the palace get that cause its a reg day not rdo like 30 of the 75, oh and bacon was right, sean bell didnt stop a class, lady liberty wont either
i was told june 30th, promotion date july 25th, next week will tell
Good Luck with BLC 2008-04. BLC wasn't too bad. Lots of Breaks. All the instructors are really nice, but Lt. Donnelly and Capt. Rosiello will be the most enjoyable part of your time there. Nonetheless, It sure is different on the other side. Have fun and hope u get some good picks.
