This is going to be the pattern, 20-25 every other month. I've been told to only expect around 150 per year, maybe less, maybe a little more. They are not going to get anywhere near completing this list. I'm basically being told that the job has changed. People are staying (Lt's in particular) and they are very young. This is the reason for the considerable slowdown with promotions. The days of 250+ a year getting promoted are long gone. You needed at least that to exhaust a 1000 man list. For our list you would need an average of over 300 per year. It's not going to happen, not even close. I'm upset because I did halfway decent and i'm in jeapordy. It's going to be a long wait and see.
