I should be going in for the July class, and i have vacation at the end of june going into july, and i want to go away that last week in june. I heard they can technically start bmoc before july 1 since u arent promoted until after u graduate, does anyone know if they definitely could or would do that? Thanks.
i have the same exact scenerio, last week in jun vac, look word comes as u see about 2 weeks b4 a class, if u go on vac just dont leave town, remember u can pull ur 28 and come in
Call BLC at the Academy and ask them. Only they could tell you for sure and they are very helpful. When you walk into that Academy you instinctively go into recruit mode but they don't treat you that way. You are getting promoted and they treat you accordingly. If you're only talking about missing a day or two it shouldn't be a big deal.
If you have travel plans and money spent I doubt they're going to bust your shoes about it.
Give them a call and be guided by what they tell you.
If you have plans and you're missing a day or two, not a big deal. If you're missing a week, the worst thing they will do is promote you at the end of bmoc and make you stick around with the next group to make up the stuff you missed. You can spend the first month of your probation at bmoc.
