if i make 5 years in january 2010 and made it with mid 80s on tihs test do i have a chance of getting made or what? will they kill the list if only a few people are left and they dont have the time on
The list's are not like what they used to be since they now have that 70 passing requirement. Even though it seems like more people passed the 2008 exam than the 2007 exam they are still very short on sgt's. If you pass the test you will be made. You may be initially skipped over because you don't have 5 years yet, but trust me you will make it. They are already more than half way through with 2007 list and it is only March. The days of dying on sgt list are over. Unless there was an exam that had a list of 1000-2000 names than things would change. Enjoy your last 2 years as a cop.
There is some truth to that!!!!!!! I'm no BRAIN SURGEON, but I'll have to wait a year and a half before a get made!!!!!!! I scored an 85% (Raw Score).....And this was my first exam too!!!!,... I'm also up for Promotion to Detective soon too!,......I'm just relaxing and enjoying my last days as a cop!!!! For all who didn't pass I encourage for you guys to do "The Fast-Track!!!" and "KSA",........Forget "The KEY!!!!",........Do questions from the NYPD Academy and "Rising Star Promotions",....You'll thank me then!!!!!!
