Check out 2007 sgt test forum finest came down they said they went up to #217 out of 339 skipped over some not eligible. They say about 80 left to go in july when they reach their 5th year and 20 something left have to wait it out to january. I cant see them not putting our list out cause they are waiting on 20 people. Those 20 people will definately be promoted I just hope they put our list out sooner
Of 339 people so far approx 125 have been hired leaving 214 bodies. Approx 89 people up to list 217 don't have the time, yada yada yada. Which means 122 people left til 339. I figure 84 people from 217-339 don't have the time. The next class might be in May which would have approx 40 people in it. Then July.
Sorry to burst your bubble irishprincess14. Check out some more postings on the 2007 Forum. Unfortunately I was like you, hoping they would blow through the previous list (5500) and get to mine. Didn't happen. Civil Service Law doesn't work like that. List must be out and active for minimum 1 year. That makes December 2008 the earliest your list can come out. The job/city did that last year. They could have blown through the list in about 8-9 months and released our list. Didn't happen, can't happen. True, current list is 339 but watch the job not have months of BLC and watch them put in smaller classes. Job is not the same as it was, it has slowed down, no movement and not enough bodies(cops). Back in the day BMOCs were 70 - 100 per class and every month. But the Sergeant's lists back then were in the 2-3 thousands and the list lasted for years. Last year's BLCs were the first to have 60s, 50, 40, 30 and 20 body classes and they also skipped a couple of months with no classes.
