i believe that question #47 should be (B) not (A)...i my memory serves me right...that was the one in regards to releasing info of a minor to the media..kid 15 sex w/ 10..RAPE 1 due to vic being less than 11 but perp not JO cause he less than 11 not sub 1 or 2....so can't release his name...

also because they conferred with DCPI and you dont need their permission to release info of a JO as long as there is and arrest.  The location did not take place in the residence of the victim or the perp so I agree that you can release the location.

check the "Notice of Examination" from DCAS, which is the 4 page document that gives you the exam name, and test number and a whole bunch of other useful information (including points for seniority).......hopefully you still have yours, if not, DCAS website has it or call dcas and maybe they can get one out to you.

ok, your lucky i'm in a good mood...........here is the link

For the Anonymous individual or individuals who want to know how to protest procedure:  This is quoted from the"NYC Civil Service Exam Protest Procedure", conversly this was found in DCAS website (www.nyc.gov): "A Proposed Review Session is usually held during the same week that the Proposed Key is published."   "At the review session, you (candidate) will be allowed to review the Test Booklet and the Proposed Key Answers.  The purpose of this review is to permit you to submit protests against the Proposed Key Answers.  You must appear in person....  You may bring any reference materials you wish. You may NOT bring any handwritten notes or recording devices of any kind...  Protests may be prepared and submitted at the time of the review, or they be submitted subsequently.  HOWEVER, in NO case will you be allowed to remove from the premise any materials relating to the test, or any notes that you may make during the review.  Bring your record of answers and a pen with black ink and adequate personal identification to your session.... the rest of the protest is detailed on the website...good luck...blankstare  I hope this helps....

THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION ON POINTS FOR SENIORITY. IT'S NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR ME WITH THE CURRENT ANSWER KEYS POSTED ON THIS WEBSITE. 60 to 64% BASED ON 50/50 CHOICES FOR ANSWERS. HOPE THEIR ARE SOME ERRORS ON THIS ANSWER KEY AND SOME QUESTIONS GET TOSSED. EITHER WAY I AM ALREADY HITTING THE BOOKS FOR THE NEXT TEST.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THESE PROMOTION STUDY COMPANIES OFFERED COURSES EVEN WHEN NO FUTURE TEST IS POSTED.

I WOULD PAY FOR THE COURSE RIGHT NOW AND I AM SURE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. EVEN IF IT WAS JUST A ONCE A MONTH MEETING FOR 4 HOURS TO REVIEW A STUDY PACKET. ALSO WOULD IT BE GREAT IF THEY HAD A CLASS AFTER THE TEST TO GO OVER THE TEST AND SEE WHY WE GOT CERTAIN QUESTIONS WRONG? THAT WOULD MAKE US EVEN BETTER PREPARED FOR THE NEXT TEST. IT HELPS TO RETAIN THIS ENDLESS INFORMATION.

OH WELL THANKS AGAIN. BE SAFE.

Phantasm,  If 51 is the leg restraint question than the procedure is clearly in support of answer A.  D is wrong!

The JOB does not allow the prep schools to post the answers nor to discuss the questions before the answer key comes out. Trust me, I would like to see the instructors' answer keys, so that i would not kiil myself waiting 5 Mondays. But unfortunately they can't give us any info.

I hit the books too. In fact I will not stop reading that book untill I get promoted. While a lot of stuff is still fresh in my mind I am intendin to retain it and memorize more if I have to take the next test.

I don't keep my hopes high even though I am passing based on the proposed keys here on this site (even with the updated one). But if I keep reading just for 2 hours a day, let's say 25 pages a day, I am confident I will be able to remember a lot more for the next test.

Good luck to everyone!!! Only 25 days left for DCAS keys. And, of course, lets not to forget to protest. Even if you got the question right you will still benefit if that question gets thrown out. I mailed my protest slip the night of the test and intend to protest at lest 3 questions for now althoug one of htem I got right.

Actually that patrol guide procedure pertains to more than 1 transport officer. More than one transport officer would be if there are 3 or more prisoners (to be exact the patrol guide says more than 2 prisoners and no transport chains), if the perp is an escape risk or more than 9 prisoners (10 or more) and there are no transport chains.

For #51 it said 3 perps, 2 cops and no transport chains. 1 perp high escape risk, 2 others normal. Using rmp w/ partition

So is it A or D (leg restraints on 1 or all 3)???

when i first read the answer key i thought it was pretty accurate.it seemed alot of time n effort was put forth into making that key.but now as the days go on there r many answers being changed.ppl r also posting individual answers to questions that they "so call remember"now im no genius but i did study my ass off.n some ppl r posting answers on this forum like its the gospel when i can see as plain as day are wrong!!ppl SHOULD ONLY post answers that they looked up in the p.g. n know for sure r right.by not doing so only hurts the intergrity of this forum n what we r trying to accomplish!!so please do your research before u post a answer. n for the record the perp that refused to b fingerprinted gets shackled.n i know that cuz "THE P.G. STATES" to shackle a perp if

1)they refused to b printed biggrin
2)transported to the hospital biggrin
3)escape risk biggrin

YOU GUYS ARE ALL IDIOTS FOR POSTING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ON THE INTERNET!! IM ANXIOUS TOO BUT CMON! WHEN YOU BARELY PASS WITH A 70 OR 71 AFTER ALL THAT HARD WORK, AND YOU DONT GET PROMOTED BECAUSE 500 PEOPLE(JUST FROM THE MILITARY AND SABBATH OBSERVERS) ARE AHEAD OF YOU, I DONT WANT TO HEAR YOU CRYIN!!!!

Rumors goin around they may be giving a test in the summer, so logically, they probably wont hire everyone from this list if they get more than a thousand... just a little something to think about

The only way we would have a test in the summer is if only 100 people passed.

Unless a) very few people pass (doubt it) or b) some massive cheating scandal is uncovered, there will not be a test this summer. I'm hoping for next Jan though.

Dude, I hate to break it to ya, but you're wrong.  I'm not gonna get to into it but I thought I would tell ya so you don't count that as a point on your sheet.

As far as everyone on here posting about how they're not gonna get promoted because everyone is discussing answers.  This isn't the first Sgt's test ever given and this certainly isn't the first time people have posted about the test almost immediately after the test is over.  Yet, when was the last time you heard of someone dying on the list?  This happened last test and only 300 people passed.  On the 2006 test they had about 600 people on the list.  Honestly, does it matter?  I think not.  If you passed you will get promoted off this list.  My guess Is 300-600 people make this list.

Dude, you're missing half the question and the one guy was not listed in the question as a high escape risk.

Refusing fingerprints  does not necessarily equal high escape risk.  Leg restraints, yes, high escape, no.  That's a completely different category and has seperate rules.  That being said, those seperate rules would not change the reasoning behind the answer to this question.

WARNING I BELIEVE THIS SITE IS GOING TO BE SHUT DOWN AND HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR REVEALING ANSWERS TO A CIVIL SERVICE EXAM.

SERIOUSLY PLEASE STOP WRITING ABOUT THE QUESTIONS IN DETAIL. I AM JUST AS OBSESSED WITH FINDING OUT HOW WELL OR BAD (MOST LIKELY BAD) I DID. YOU ARE GIVING AWAY ANSWERS TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT YET TAKEN THE TEST. DO YOU WANT SOME TOOL TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO BECAUSE HE GOT PROMOTED FROM THE ANSWERS OFF THE INTERNET?

IF THIS KEEPS UP I AM SURE THIS SITE WILL BE SHUT DOWN.

YOU ARE CONTRIBUTING TO REVEALING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR A CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION AND I AM SURE THAT IS ILLEGAL.

RISING STAR PROMOTIONS SHUT THIS DISCUSSION BOARD DOWN. PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Hate to say it, but I totally agree. I reviewed the list to get an idea on how I did. Since it looks like I made it, I will only answer the private messgaes sent to me. Itherwise, I am done with these threads until the final DCAS results come out. It's tough trying to keep up with the updates to the answer key with all the comments and the revaling of questions in between. Good luck everyone...biggrin

They should most definitely shut this forum down cause people will cheat and get some answers to the exam and will bump people off the list or at least delay their promotion. Everyone is anxious but we all have to be patient and wait another 4 weeks. No one really knows what the answer is and no one really remember the questions so there is no point on constantly asking "what is the answer to question so and so?" we waited so long for the exam and then it came.....so just wait for another 4 weeks guys and we will find out our projected score. For those who want to protest the questions, please hurry up and do it and then let it be.

Is this how big of a loser family you have that you all huddle around a computer and "laugh" at other peoples concerns?

You my friend are the biggest loser of them all.

Forget about lawyers and whose family members are Lt's, Det's etc those things mean nothing right now. I will tell you this it just takes a few peolple to make a complaint to the right people and all those months and hours of studying will go down the drain and I dont think any of us want that. All of you who are posting the questions verbatim are not only jepordizing(chk sp) those of us that put time into this but yourselves it happened before please dont let history repeat itself.
