Im using Elite to study along Rising Star questions just took a quick quiz of 25 questions on week one of Elite material and it feels like I havent read anything. How often should I be going back to these procedures? 10/25 score

I started studying 4 hours a day. I ended up at end prop studying 8 hours a day. The answer is different for everyone. I didnt want to recognize procedure I wanted them memorized. Ppl would give me questions and before they read the choices I gave the answer. That was my stated goal and 8 hours a day is what got me there. You dont need to copy my goals but in the end the quicker your promoted the more opportunity opens for everything. Seniority more promotions and even earlier retirement. 10 out of 25 on elite is not good and is indication your not studying enough or ur not studying efficiently

10/25 on a rising star quiz when I take elite and key questions Im getting mid 80s. right now Im on week 7 of elite so the rising star questions were based on week 1 of elite which I havent gone back to review cause the course moves so quickly

I remember this exact feeling lol. The RS questions are a slap in the nuts, but that's the point...it lulls you out of that false confidence. I remember bombing hard on them, but I never made those mistakes again after that. There's a reason they are notoriously the hardest questions, but it will earn you points if you stay the course. Remember the bigger courses base their questions off of their own material rather than pooling from the entire PG/AG/etc. like the exam will be, so for the first time you may be seeing things you've never seen before. I maintain that the courses started wayyyyy too early, but remember that when you study, you always have to go back to older sections. 10/25 on RS is not terrible assuming you haven't looked back at the material at all, but you should rotate older sections into your studying. This is going to probably be the most competitive promotional exam in over a decade...there's just so many people eligible. I agree with Truthseeker...getting promoted earlier on a list has immense benefits, so adjust your technique. You're asking the right questions at least...good luck!

Agreed! We warn our students up front that some of our questions have been called "nit-picky". However, we are sticklers for a very good reason - we would rather you get a tough question wrong now than to get it wrong on test day! We do not recommend continually answering questions that are easy - all you are doing is building a false sense of confidence that can be dangerous over time, if unchecked. We recommend mixing it up the same way the test writers do on exam day. Each and every question we develop has a specific learning purpose incorporated. So while you may get frustrated from time to time answering our questions, be patient, do not get discouraged, and keep in mind that you are learning the hard way which will make it that much easier for you come test day. Also remember that, hopefully on the real exam, most questions will be ground balls; however, every test will have those "out of left field" questions. Those are the questions that will separate those who have spent the time studying from those who have not. The ability to get the tough questions correct on test day decides not only who will make the list, but also who will be on the top of it. We have found that those who generally score between 70% - 80% correct with our questions, consistently place at the top of their lists. Don't make the mistake of getting our questions wrong and then not going back to find out exactly why - this is where the real learning comes into play so that you understand it and never make that mistake again (especially when it counts on test day). Ed & I were at the top of all our lists because of this system - it works! Rising Star's questions will prepare you for anything the test has to throw at you!
