Adams put the money there for the city to hire the cops. Mamdani can and most likely will cancel that money. I believe this was intentionally done to prove mamdanis hatred for us and the fact he said he wont defund us is a flat out lie. Will people leave possibly but remember its just not mamdani....he has to get permission from city hall for certain things, people who have their hands in the cookie jar will more than likely call for his removal putting the governor in a bad position...and let's not forget the Republicans will sit back and watch support flow to them after everyone witness who the democrats have unleashed on the city. Exactly we are very important to Public Safety and once crime goes up if he decides to Move us from that equation people are going to be calling for him to be removed from office. Also I have a feeling him and Tish are not going to have a good time together because she actually applauded Adams for wanting to put 5,000 more cops on the street. She's going to have a going back and forth with him if he decides to revoke it and most likely she's going to resign if he does that and that's not going to look good for him at all. Especially after he said that he's going to keep her but now she doesn't want to be part of his regime because of the fact of him defunding us that will be a problem for him so I think he should really consider that before he makes any stupid decisions. The minute he revokes that money to put more cops on the street every single newspaper and news media are going to seize that and be like you see he lied about defunding the police another bad look for him.. Also even though Kathy hochul sometimes can be a bit controversial she also does not share most of his views so she would too have an issue with that as well. Not everybody is going to be on his side when it comes to that so you're right if he knows what's good for him he better play ball or get off the court
