It has come to our attention that an anonymous complaint was recently filed with the NYPDs Internal Affairs Bureau regarding members of service who participated in testimonial videos for The Key.
We believe this complaint originated from a competitor, an unfortunate attempt to discredit the professionalism and integrity that have made The Key the most trusted name in NYPD promotional preparation at the expense of our students. It is worth noting that this same competitor has faced serious scrutiny in the past over issues involving exam integrity.
As a result of these baseless allegations, several of these members were subjected to GO-15 interviews, causing understandable concern. To assist our members, The Key has removed the videos from our website, and the members have received no disciplinary action. We want to make it clear that these testimonials were voluntary, made by proud members who successfully advanced their careers through hard work, dedication, and preparation values that The Key has stood for over 25 years.
The Key remains committed to providing the highest-quality instruction, materials, and guidance to the men and women of the NYPD. We will not be distracted or discouraged by our competitors underhanded and despicable tactics that undermine the spirit of fairness and professionalism that define our profession.

Whats fair is fair. Theres a genuine conflict of interest when students in uniform are used to promote a school, even if the love and support is genuine.
We all learned from you guys about endorsements in uniform and conflicts of interest (I forgot the Patrol Guide section, haha), so its only fair that no school gets an advantage from that. Leveling the playing field helps the students most, let the best win, and honestly, theres enough cake for everyone.
All three schools are extraordinary. Passing without the guidance of The Key, Rising Star, or Elite is nearly impossible. If I had to pick one, Id go with The Key, but for the serious student (unless ponytail ex-captain exam), combining all three is the winning move.
