January class hit 20 years first week of Jan.
Then everyone gets their 5 weeks vacation for 2025.
That puts them at the middle of Feb to retire.
Add in time on the books and delays in getting a pension date and we're in march.
So many people who filed to leave from the jan 2025 class are on the books to march/april; as they come off the books we will see bigger classes.

Look at clearances, divide by 2, and thats your ballpark for actual numbers going in. Its in that immediate zone more often than not.

I don't think there will be any Sgts until this contract settles

hopefully thats not the case. Even when the contract settles you have to figure no promos for anther 2-3 months while the contract gets ratified. At that point it would be 6 months plus without any Sgts. 1,100 can leave in July supposedly.

Im just taking an educated guess but they probably wont put Sgts in until this new contract goes into effect.

Many sergeants will be going to the pension section with this contract. Retiring while in contract helps with finalization. So if they dont promote now, I can guarantee there will be big numbers going in as soon as its ratified.

Depends how quickly Vincent gets these emails out, how long we have to vote, & how long they take to count. Then putting ink on paper. Ideally a couple weeks?

heard ballots coming monday... voting is open until may 5.

I don't expect any sgt's going in until its ratified, which i'm sure it will be. Once that happens there will be large classes to catch up, much like the beginning of the LT list.
