Hoping for an April promo but I think a small to medium size one in May is most likely. Vacancies are what we should be looking at- similar to the Captains list. I say 35 in May
I hope so. Currently 8 vacancies for LT and 10 vacancies for captain. If a few call it quits and they promote captains, we can see a group of 25 Lts getting promoted.
No number, that was just the original promotion date scheduled for end of April. I dont even think they had a meeting to determine how many and what ranks are getting promoted. Hoping for at least a small class of LTs
Im not holding my breath, honestly any amount of LT will do. I can see 40 more captains throughout the year, which will free up 40 Lt Vacancies. Retirements are the big variable.
From what I heard there were no more LT scheduled until July. I hope my info is wrong but the Vacancies have already been filled so only time will tell
The retirements continue to show on zFinest so there are definitely Lts retiring I would say daily almost. Lets see what happens but 400 by end of year would be ideal.
If the Dept holds true to the new Lt contract with adding a extra Lt per the two platoons on the 12hr tours, that would also help with creating another 100 vacancies/spots To fill Pcts/Transits/Psas

Supposedly the LBA is trying to back out of that deal now Apparently something about the 12 Hour Tours was different the. What was promised to them, not sure on the specifics. Anyone else heard this

Havent heard that but LBA did tell newly promoted LTs dont expect 12 hr tours till Sgts agree and start doing them. and we all know how SBA negotiations are going
Ive heard the exact opposite and to not expect any contract until December earliest Next Summer the latest. And that if your on the old pay steps youre basically screwed. The SBA in no way is planning on fixing it Ive had 2 delegates tell me this and a Trustee. Bottom line its not a priority.
Whats the word in BMOC- what are they saying about April class ?
Spoke to someone at BMOC today.. She said nothing yet. If they do 50 I'll be in the next class. So lets see.. If I hear anything else I'll post it right away.
