The reason I ask is the only way DrPapi could be right on the release of this list in August is if DCAS has little or no Military verifications to complete and list goes straight to the Dept. after TVB n additional points added. Otherwise, it seems impossible to get a list this month.
if you already verified Military with DCAS on a previous promotional exam (Sgts), do we have to verify it again for every promotional exam ?

From my limited understanding, you have to verify the military points if you elected not to use it for the Sgts exam, and elect to use it on the LTs exam. Maybe Im wrong tho lol

You can only use the points once. If you used it for sgt then thats it. If you didnt use it, they will email you asking if you want to use it for lt (assuming you made the list), or wait to use it for captain.

I have one source who's been spot on with promotional stuff and she told me last she heard list was supposed to be dropped around August/September But hasn't heard anything since. As far as next couple weeks, that does line up but when its that close there would usually be more chatter so Im skeptical.

Did your source say anything about list size?
She heard around 1200 but other people on this forum have been telling me more closer to 1400 so I would expect somewhere around that range. The math on the curve which is .231 Per wrong question would actually put the list in that ballpark, so Im assuming shes right

Its all relative to the headcount in my opinion. the executive headcount from Captain and up is around 700 the list is 489 the SGT headcount is around 6000 I think That list is 4300. The Lt headcount is around 1700 that list might be 1200-1400. All these lists seem to to be equivalent to around 80% of the rank. So it seems about right when you look at it like that, but again just my opinion.
2016 Sgt list - 2,700
2017 Lt list - 1,300
2017 Capt list - 260
2022 Sgt list - 4,400
2023 Lt list - ?????
2022 Capt list - 480
I get what youre saying about head count, but has the headcount increased by 40% since 2017 for all ranks to also increase the average list size by 40%? If anything, the dept is using a projected headcount to make these lists, which is anticipating more people getting hired. I would say 1700-1800 is the lowest list size we could be expecting given this trend.
Btw, Sgt headcount is around 4500 and 2023 Sgt list is around 4350. They can make a smaller list for LT compared to current Sgt and Capt lists if they want. We just have to wait.
The list size was determined the moment the last person hit enter on test day. The only way to manipulate that number slightly is by being more or less generous on the amount of protested questions accepted.

I respect that but still believe its pretty pointless. Its a promotional exam not lottery numbers. Whats all the secrecy with it.

Bc what you dont understand is the process is secretive. When u write/review/anything to do w a test you sign a waiver saying you can not speak about anything w the test. You will be fired and quite honestly when ppl compare that chance to releasing info on a board who doesnt believe anything anyone posts anyways, theres really no comparison. This test is no different then others and will follow same path to release.

More like shake boxes, the writing of the test I agree with 100%.what does saying anything about the process after have to do with the end result of your score? anyone saying the list is coming out on X date or list is X aMount or the test is at phase X will not affect anyones score.so once again I say its some shake box doodoo
