Zone Duty Captain vs Duty Captain (Patrol not DB)

Can anyone explain what the Zone Duty Captain for Patrol is vs Duty Captain for Patrol and the rules? 

A captain who just got promoted told me she is the Zone duty captain for the tour not to be confused with the normal duty captain. 

Anyone have this in their boro?

It depends on the borough, but your friend is probably referring to their radio division as having zone coverage. During the summer, the powers that be want every radio division to have a captain working LATE Fri and sat. In theory, the zone coverage captain will respond to a shooting or a really crazy job in their zone. Duty captain handles everything in the borough.
