PO top pay is $109,352 plus $2,460 (Neighborhood Policing Diff) for a total of $111,812.
Sgt pay step 3 is $110,175 - therefore Sgts go to step 4, which is $115,016.

That is my understanding.

I looked back at old emails. PBA contract ratified by 4/24/23, the Union emailed their members on 4/27/23 with a contract update including the expected pay dates. Vinny can you find out the dates for us or should we call Kaz?

Still no pay dates from our lovely union. It was a historic contract with zero follow up emails.

OPA gets up to 90 days, and you are given time to make changes to 457 contributions.

Last contract was approved on 1/19 and raises took effect on 3/4 check.

Good to know. Sgt class went in on 2/7. Did that group fall under old or new contract ? Since technically the raise was in affect after 2/7?

This is just a reminder to not vote for Vinny or anybody associated with his administration when the election comes. Their incompetence is on full display.

The precinct greeter has a better chance at winning the SBA election.

Theres a few people that are planning a challenge. The reasons are layered.
Truthfully, the vote needs to get passed the delegate body. If that occurs, this unelected board is done. The problem is the delegates and directors.

Ten of them need to step up.

If Vinny gave us an idea of when the raise is kicking in and date on retro, maybe we could consider the golf outing.

I just looked at the PBAs email from their last contact.  They send an email on 04/24/2023 that the contact was ratified and then on 04/27/2023 send an email that they where informed by the city the exact date that the pay raise and retro would be seen. it was around the full 90 days of 07/21/2023 (Im not going to count exactly). So. Its safe to say the SBA is fully aware of when we will see the raise and retro and more worried about emailing about a golf outing than their membership. Dont forget about this historical contract with no givebacks except for the give back of washup time and the give back of no raise for longevity of any sergeant with less then 10 years.

Side note Im not here for a dispute about If you think people with under 10 years deserve a raise. The fact is by keeping the longevity the same for The 5 year bump for the whole contact and not seeing a raise like the rest of the longevity, it is a giveback that they failed to mention.

Does anyone know when the updated amount for your final number with the raises will appear on the pension statement? Is it as soon as the raise kicks in? Or does it take longer.

I can almost guarantee the city is taking the full 90 days and the retro will be on the August 15 check.

Im more interested in knowing when this raise will take effect on our checks. Im one of those 96k base victims so the retro can come whenever.

Same, when are we going to see the new salary.

Our leadership is terrible and what is worse is that they have not realized that communication is all we have been asking through this whole process

No one would be confused about anything of we were simply allowed to read the contract. Anyone know why is not readily available for viewing?

I just checked my ESS employment verification letter, and it states the new increased salary of $134,096, so its quite possible that we will see the raise if not this check next check.

You will not see it that soon. They are going to give you time to adjust your 457k contribution and those changes takes 2 checks minimum. So getting the raise is at minimum July.

The raise and the retro are 2 different things. 2 different checks. You might both be right.

Indeed. Been through about 5 contracts and never seen the raise go into effect more than 2 or 3 pay periods after ratification. Retro months later on account of 457 adjustments. I have never heard of effective dates being released more than two weeks after the fact though so its a brave new world where anythings possible. See you at the golf outing, quack.

The most recent PBA contract the raise and retro came together and 3 months later

Where are you hearing that from? would b nice if the SBA could let its membership know something rather then keeping everything like its some big secrete and we should be grateful that they exist as our all knowing overlords. They can only hide behind we were asked to keep negotiations secrets for so long. But then again they wont even show anyone the actual contract so what does that tell you.

Hey maybe These guys dont know how to use email.
