Not your fault that the union cooked the books with that chart. Getting away with fudging the numbers and accurate bookkeeping arent really this administrations strong suit

Gentlemen (and ladies), here is a little fyi from the 2021 contract. It's the contract breakdown and a Q&A on why this was such a "great contract" at the time. This was published before all SBA membership voted on it (and passed it).

Cant wait to be out of this Trash union Im hopefully next class its such an embarrassment lol. Basically only the PAAs make less money than us now its so pathetic. Worst Union on this job and worst Representation I have personally seen on this job. Just really shows how inept this Department allows people to be.

Awesome! I still have about another year wait to finally give myself a raise from 97k to whatever a starting Lt makes. Worst union!

Dont worry kids, you wont be making that much less than you were last week for too long, weve got the city right where we want them. Hershey Park tix coming soon. Find the senior 96K sergeant when you get assigned to command, they will show you the ropes, maybe wash your car or mow your lawn for $20 on their RDO if theyre not doing paid details. Enjoy top pay for life and remember who loves you come election time!

Contract DOA. With top brass and mayor more than likely getting collared there are no contract negotiations until a new administration is in place

I still blame the SBA- if these incompetent morons had just came to an agreement last year we would not be in this mess. We are done! See you all in 2027

In light of these developments, if a deal is on the table, it should be at least presented to the membership for an up or down vote, even if it comes without the endorsement of the SBA board. If it contains 12 hour tours, let the vote be the survey that was never taken. If it forsakes the 96k so called fringe group like myself, let it be the membership at large that sells each other out. Anything is better than missing the moment playing this long ridiculous checkers/chess game that is now putting us in danger of dealing with Acting Mayor J. Williams and years of PERBatory. Transparency and agency at long last.

They didnt do it before- they wont do it now.  This contract will go 2-3 more years before any traction is made.  The collective focus at this point should be to remove the V And Smalls from these positions.

Every other union will be on their second contract while the SBA hasnt even settled the first. The pay disparity will become worse when that time comes.

Well if it isnt my arch nemesis, the moderator. Ashamed descendant of the knighted Earl of sAndwichshire, sir Cornelius Pissworthy, heir to the dukedom of Lord Buckingham Squirts, twice removed, thrice the victim of a botched castration, once venerated among the gentry, but disgraced and sentenced to hang, after committing unclean acts with wild beasts of the forest, upon the Queens own land, repented of his sins with vigor and received a royal pardon, though posthumously.

So much for a contract- the SBA is absolute trash. I was just listening to 1010 wins and your basic corrections officer is making 102k base salary without any add ons.

This whole thing is just a complete disgrace. Not a word from Vinny and the tards about what is going on right now with all the rumors out of 1PP. Nothing about our next course of action, nothing about what is being offered. Im embarrassed and ashamed to be part of the SBA. Only in the NYPD was taking a promotion the biggest mistake of my career. I have 0 faith well get a good deal, and also 0 faith well get any deal anytime soon. For the first time in 12 years I am going to sign up for paid detail because I cant continue to bring home less than everyone in my building but the PAA and janitor. The SBA is the worst union in the city!

Update! Nothing to report, all leads exhausted. We will not see anything until this corruption probe is worked out with either a complete new administration or exoneration which will take months

Like I previously said. This Contract is not getting settled most likely until closer to next Summer you know when the PBA will most likely have a new Contract negotiated.

Every active member of the SBA really should consider showing up on Friday. If youre not interested, and you have someone in your command who is aggrieved/complaining/interested, let them know. Just want answers and communication.

I spoke to a Trustee yesterday who said that the SBA has been negotiating to have all Sergeant's retroactively bumped to top pay. That the city agreed but then wanted givebacks, and that's where they've been since. If that's true, I don't know why the SBA wouldn't have said that instead of spamming us with Hershey Park ticket emails. In the meantime, I'll be looking for a new job that has prospects to pay me more than 97k for the next 2.5 years.

Dont standby and trust others will fight for you. Dont be scared, you are allowed to do this. Fight fight fight!

Stupid question. Who and how is it determined where the Sba is located? I'm assuming they pay rent... how can we get the office moved into the worst neighborhood in the bronx?

They actually own the building. Three or four years ago they sent out a memo they were going to make extra money by renting out spaces in the building, it goes towards the union. Best thing you could do is set up a protest outside of the SBA.
