Interesting and troubling. I hit top pay just before the 12/10/24 date that everyone is supposed to be set to top pay, lucky me, and its showing 134 for me. Definitely something to keep an eye on for anyone who is jumping from 97 to top.
Go on ESS to the pay verification letter with salary. It will show with your new pay. These people had 90 days to fix this but as we can see its still not enough smh.

Employment verification will show year by year your base salary, on the right side (behold your sweet $200 a year raises, compressed under or about PO salary, 97K friends). As of 12/10/2024, there should be a base salary of 130something listed, top pay. If theres not, thats no good.

Does anyone knowledgeable with pension inner workings know if our new percentage raises have already been factored into our pension numbers at this point? Even if we still have not received our official raise and retro yet.
Also, are we not getting retro pay for the period between the contract ratification (May 8th?) and the date we are set to get the raise (Aug 1st)? If not, in all fairness, there should be a second retro check for that period. Or is this a silent giveback the SBA is not telling us about? I've yet to see any literature about this contract anywhere. Why hasn't the whole contract been posted somewhere? and why haven't the collective demanded it be?

To your first question the answer is yes, the pension numbers have already been updated. I ran a statement last month and the numbers jumped up quite substantially. I called pension and they confirmed that pension is adjusted before we see the retro check.
Chuck Taylor I was just about to post the same thing, dont forget to deduct 50% for taxes and other deductions, itll def give you a close estimate of what your take home will look like Aug 1. Mine was 59k, so Im hoping to take home around 29.
Credit goes to NYPD Wives Facebook group my wife is on. Leave it to them to figure out how much money were getting before we do. My wife is already talking about a Disney trip and we dont even have the money yet
Better than the lady on there talking about taking her husband to family court so she can adjust her alimony and child support. Some of these women need a job and a hobby.
Quick question since we are on the topic of retro. Has anyone ever had an issue with their night diff, fought the good fight with central payroll and won? I have been steady 1720s for a year now, I was temp transferred at first and was changed to hourly night diff instead of recurring. I was perm assigned in feb and my payroll assured me the paperwork was sent to central payroll to have me changed and I would receive retro for all the times I was docked night diff anytime I had court, a 28, avp, etc. Im losing a good amount of money and Im fed up with how the NYPD does payroll. Has anyone had this issue before and actually saw their money get paid back? Thanks guys!

I was permanently transferred to my unit back in February after they fixed the whole telephone message transfer mess. Ive been there over 2 years doing a 1600 start. The transfer knocked me out of night diff and almost cost me my mortgage application because I was suddenly making like $10k a year less. The mortgage company told me to fix it ASAP and I made 100 phones calls and emails to get it expedited. I was put back in recurring night shift yesterday lol.
I honestly think it was them going in and bumping my salary that finally pushed it through.
Thanks Chuck, when I look at my mortgage verification it now says recurring night diff, I also attribute it to the salary bump to top pay. Is there any chance Ill ever see my retro from all the money that was taken from me or should I chalk it up to a loss and consider it another gift from the NYPD and the city of New York?

I would call central payroll and bug them every pay period that money doesn't not come through. Dont chalk up anything, its money that you earned!
That doesnt make any sense and the bit about Hershey Park makes me think its a joke.
That being said, it wouldnt be the worst thing in the world to get it in a separate check on the 10th. I have a lot of ordered OT on tonights check that I didnt want because I knew it was going in the retro check. If I got that check and the retro check separate, with August already being a three check month I might finally be in decent shape financially.
