I mean the Sgts should be $20k more than a top pay cop, and Lt should make 20k more than top pay Lt. At least that's what I would hope, I'd say the LTs should make at least mid to high 160s based on cops new contract.

I imagine sgts and lts get each 12% over 4 years. For a lt that would up top base pay to $152519 and if you got 5 years in rank the top pay base would be $157262.

Every Sgt promoted before this contract will automatically go to top pay. Top pay PO is $109,353 while step 5 Sgt is $105,606. The next step for sgt is top pay at $118,056.

109k top pay is August 2024, not now. SBA will settle new contract before that.

I'm hearing the sgts will go to the 10-12 hour tours and Lts might not

Im curious for the Lts as well not sure what they do in Nassau, saw a mention of an orange chart, no clue what that is. It would make sense for unit and patrol to directly supervise the Sgts n POs but theres not always a Lt working so they could keep working 5 days a week.

If sergeants dont ratify a contract before PBA does, we go to current top pay.

whats top pay for cops now? 109? so Id assume our starting pay would be the top pay we have right now after we ratify.

so either way were going to current top pay. What will the new top pay is the real question. Id guess at least 140

Log into the sba website and check your preferences that you have the right email listed.

If you have the right email listed and you are not getting updates, try emailing the sba office. They may need to manually add you.

$182,361 Top Pay SSA/SDS with 20 years- Excluding Overtime. (Top pay Lt will be in this ballpark) TOP PAY LSA $198,764!

10/12-hour tours will be negotiated as a give-back from the city, so potentially either more money or more chart days.
