New set of instructors. So far its chilled and yes suit and tie. Two exams i believe at the end of month.

Nice. Good luck. I am curious as to how those dream sheets work. Obviously at the end of the day it is needs of the department, but how do some people get to commands that arent a available choice. (The newly promoted sgt picks randomly knowing that their phone call will take them elsewhere regardless of the choices available??)

It is indeed tac village. Scenarios like in the academy except the instructors play cops and youre the sergeant. Its kind of a mess because like 4 people go at once and you end up talking over each other. Kind of useless training but the good part is its like a two hour day.

I remember they said bratton was going to get rid of the ridiculing and screaming matches at compstat. Execs still stress when that time comes around and shit trickles down. Numbers will never go away.

Transit is on fire. I wouldnt be surprised if many do end up going there. I hear its not a bad gig, good place to make money, but if youre a family person it probably isnt for you.

I got the dream sheet end of second week. Get ready to call your hook cuz everyone else will. You dont find out your command until the last day. They will read them out loud and you will find out whos hook came through lol.

I went into bmoc with an open mind but when you get out and start doing desk and patrol youll quickly realize that bmoc was a waste of time. I was doing the desk by myself on the second day with basically a slap on the ass and a go get em. And nothing in bmoc really prepares you for doing the desk or patrol if youre coming from a unit.

Suit and tie strict at the academy. I went 1 day without a tie to see if anyone would say anything and they did.

If anyone has any questions please ask. Ill help as much as I can. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

like first day on a foot post. here is 6 months of academy experience, now go out there in BK and solve societys problems. Im sure this experience will have you learn faster as we did when we first joined this job. But I do wish we were better prepared.

With that being said, Im sure there will be more promos as all ranks are stupid short. For some reason nobody here is really worried about any of that. Most people are just worried and hope they get a OK command after this.

From what I was told from my source the list is being completely finished by end of year with big classes for Fall/Winter I would expect 2 more classes with a Holiday class to complete the list. If I hear anything about an end of month/Early November promo I will post.

Our Bmoc ends 10/28. Im assuming promos will be held a week after for 11/04. Judging by the recent trend a finest should be out late Friday 10/28. One of the SBA people had told me that the in the past the sgt rank had about 4,600-4,700 members. As of now there is approx 4100 sgts. (Numbers arent exact but an estimation)

Technically they could do promotions 10/28 and start the next BMOC the following Monday on 10/31. The tentative promotion calendar which lists all the promotions for the year shows the next tentative date as 10/28/2022. The job does not always follow the tentative calendar (around half of this years promos followed the tentative calendar, including the current 9/30 class).

Hopefully Taketheday or someone else with a good source can provide some Intel on a date/numbers this week. Because if the job does follow the Finest one week in advance like other recent promos, we should hear by this Friday. No matter what the date, lets hope for a class of 100 or more for November and the same in December to finish the list.

My source is saying promos for end of the month numbers are not confirmed yet but she did hear around 50-70 SGT but isnt 100% sure when I know exact numbers I will post not sure about LT yet.
