Upcoming Captain Exam SCANDAL
Permalink Closed

The same cheating scandal that happened with the Sgt's Exam will happen with the Captain's Exam

There are two sessions on August 16: 8am and 3pm.

That's enough time between for the first session to share info with the second session.

There are 8 days left to the Captain's exam, which is enough time for DCAS and the Department to figure out a better solution to prevent all the pain and agony.

There's no way this test is getting postponed. The job can't survive a few more months without new captains.

I don't think the same issue will occur. By the time the morning session actually begins the exam and finishes, the afternoon session will be going in.

Dude or dudette..... Stop bitching/crying.... Study/prepare harder for the next one.... Its ok to fail the first, or second, or third time out... now you know.... you have experience... it takes some people longer than others... The test as you describe isnt new and/or the first unfair one. .... the 2010 test, the 2015 test to name a couple...... All that experienced those tests know what I mean...  They mess it up all the time... It took me 20 plus yrs. to make LT...   You got a job though, you are still in the game... .. LOL.... Don't quit... Keep at it... I know this personally...

Also, Please don't bring negative vibes to the Captain's forum..   Our test is just a few days away.... Thanks... You think studying for Sgt's is tough, wait to you get to Captains... Thanks dude/dudette.... I wish you luck... You can PM me if you like... I think that I can be a good mentor to you...

 100% Agree.

sgts exam had an issue between day 1 and day 2

not AM session vs PM session.

thats why no one is allowed to leave early on the AM session once finished.

People need to focus on their own Journey.

Day 1, Day 2, Session 1, Session 4.. All the same thing; opportunity between exams for people to share what was on the previous exam.

There was a still a liablity with 8am session and 3pm session.

DCAS has half a brain but did something right by closing the gap between both sessions.

This post can now be closed.

its not the same thing.

your not walking out of an exam as people are walking in - passing questions and then having the ability to hit the PG to study as your walking into your own exam on the same day. stop it. stop crying. Day 2 advantage over day 1 is the real issue. Closing this would be best.
