What time did your test actually start?

Was it organized well at Javits?  What time did you guys actually start the test?

Started at 10. Get there early, it takes forever to get in. FYI, you do NOT get any results after finishing.

After you finish the exam. No score. Wtf. DCAS is a joke.

Was it a fair exam?

Is there a timer or countdown once you start?

DO NOT discuss anything about the exam! You dont want to give the cheaters or makeup exam scammers an unfair advantage!

I agree, DO NOT give 2nd day people an advantage that we didn't have!

All I will say is, relatively fair and straight forward. A few head-scratchers for sure!

And yes there is a timer in the top right corner of the screen that stays there the entire time. You have the option to click and hide it. After you are done, you select yes or no to whether you want to attend the protest session.

They were also extremely strict about personal items. Everything had to come out of your pockets, no hats or hoods on, etc.

If you didn't get the grade did it say if you passed or failed?

Nope. Nothing. You select whether you want to attend the protest session, then a screen prompts you to sign out and turn in your scrap paper. A lot of people were bummed we didn't get results right away.

Yes! They were strict about masks too. So ridiculous. You couldn't even bring your own pens inside. Very very strict.

From what I understand, since the javits center is not an actual DCAS testing site, you couldnt get the score right away. Whereas the Capt exam happens at the actual DCAS testing site and thats why the score is immediate.

This test was terrible. Poorly written. Some of the answers to choose from were absolutely ridiculous. Don't say if you studied you passed because this was not a straightforward exam. The general consensus is, it was awfully written.

THIS WAS NOT A 2015 LTs EXAM ! If you studied, you passed. Some of the questions were poorly written and some had even two answers but well discuss at the protest session. Btw, DCAS completely incompetent, how about that start for the guys who took it today ?! They didnt even know if we could start or not

Alot of us put immense amount of hours in this and even with that, this test was brutal straightforward? I would agree with that part, there was no AND/OR type stuff , wording was bad. But to be honest a HARD test was expected being there was no in-basket. But the test was absolutely crazy hard STUDY or not! was it 2015 LT test type? Idk lol but no1 in here took that test because we all trying to pass this SGT exam lol. Point is this protest will be interesting and i sure hope people who taking it tomorrow gets advantage and pass. I want nothing but great success for everyone regardless of when we take or took this test.

Yeah homie, whoever thought that test was straight forward either bombed it or voucher-ed angel dust in a narco envelope without putting it in a PSE first. I studied nonstop since December and I maybe passed. A big maybe. That was written so poorly my seven year old nephew could do better, on the flip side Colorado PD gave me a recruitment slip when I walked out, so I can apply there when I vest the day the results come out. Seriously though that test was a big FU to all POs from 1 PP and I hope everyone remembers it the next time a sergeant says zero isn't a number. The NYPD is in for a long, hard road and I hope enough people see this job doesn't care after today, and realize they need to leave and find greener pastures.

The worst feeling is right now going through some procedures and seeing what you got wrong right in front of your face. Is it too late to the run/JST? Lol

From what I understand you have until the list is established. TBH looking through the guide, there's a ton of double answers.

I studied my ass off for this exam for 7 months. Spend over 2gs on all 3 classes and i feel that i bombed it. Hopefully the 2nd exam is easier for you guys. Alot of these questions were basically rising star questions.

I took the afternoon test. Everyone I spoke to said the same thing. It was super hard and everyone felt like they did terrible. We didnt start until like 3:30. Dont take a watch cause you wont be allowed to use it. You get scratch paper. 100 questions no inbasket. Good luck to whoever is taking it tomorrow, youll need it.

You have up until the exam to do the jst/run for the extra points. However, im sure some people slip through the cracks. Its worth a shot signing up for it. Even if you dont get to use them for this sgt exam, you can use them for the Lt. Exam. Every point counts

Omg yes ! Do you think they did it on purpose so people would just get credit for thrown out questions ?

Theyre absolutely hype! Smh and its sad because its our own brass , Sgt/Lt/Capts who do this to us. And the afternoon test was the same exact questions as the AM test just scrambled around.

From what I understand, and from whom I've spoken too the afternoon exam asked the same exact questions. They got the same rubbish questions. For those who compared the exam to the rising star, I passed all four rising star exams, this test felt petty(er) and hit more obscure details then imaginable. I congratulate the sergeants who wrote the exam, a job well done, I hope they enjoy the transports and hospitalized prisoners they will inevitably have to sit on thanks to a paucity of POs and a downshifting of rank responsibilities. The precursors to November 7th, 1917 surround us once again, and same as before; those tasked with the preservation of the union have been abandoned and scapegoated by an oligarchy of adulteration.
