A word to the wise

For those taking the test on the 3rd, please refrain from posting questions or answers or telling your colleagues whats on it. As far as we know, yes they are different tests but better safe then sorry.

Why? The city screwed up, why should we not seek to better our peers? So what they'll likely score higher then us if it's the same test, hell, even if it's different tests letting them know 215 got 10 questions will surely help them if that's going to be a big focus. People's lives, and livelihoods revolve around this exam, it is a glimmering star in a career plagued by perpetual darkness. The "job" and city could at least have enough respect to give us an exam all at once, so no one has any sort of advantage. Even if the tests are all completely different, the "4by" cop forced to get up at 5am and take a test at 7 is already at a disadvantage unless hes off the proceeding week and can really garner a proper sleep schedule leading up to it.

I'm definitely taking off the day before. I have it on Wednesday, at 730 so I'm gonna go into work afterward. Really no point in burning two days for me. Should I fail I'll let the desk know I'm starting my tour from the Pension Section.

Let me guess....you must be taking it the 4th then    SMH

As far as getting off,  1st and 2nd platoon get the entire day of the test off.  3rd platoon gets excused at 2000 hrs the day before the test.  However, you are supposed to come in at 2000 hrs and finish the remaining 3:35 hours the day of the exam.  If your command is decent, they will give you lost time for that and not make you come in.

@rookiescum ....I actually have it on the 3rd at 0730...but now that I think about it u right the city as well as Dcas somehow always tries to find a way to trip us up on these tests...why...u would think the amount of cops AND bosses leaving this job by the day they would try to make things simple. Not the case...either way I'm sure we will all come out on top
