Also hearing a big class for 07/29. The next 200 names were sent out to be cleared for promotion. I know this doesnt mean 200 will get promoted but its a good sign for a big class. Also heard after 07/29 the next promotion class will take place in September.

Remember when they said there wouldnt be any classes until September lmao about to be a monster class for Sgt & LT at end of the month & there will be one for end of August. Crazy. But awesome.

I just called, they answered me. 6888 ext. cop I spoke to said they dont have a specific number I threw in 100 and they said it could be a little less or a little more. They dont know for sure.

@Helloall I private messaged you the number, its the typical 1pp #. 646. He said if you are trying to get into the next class have everything in order NOW. If youre limited get off now. The numbers arent guaranteed, I asked Is it about 100 names to be called and he said could be a little more or little less. But def sounds like a guaranteed class.

Hearing 150 SGTs were budgeted to be promoted and 200 names were cleared.

There is no such number as per nypd IAB policy, you won't know. Therefore IAB is the last list they get and they won't know until IAB releases it. So all in all going through the process, it's a waste of time.

I asked one of them today. He said the rumor he is hearing that, there is a class coming July 29th, but nothing is confirmed.

Its a pretty strong rumor at this point. If it doesnt happen something occurred last minute but as of now July 29th is planned as a promo date.

Hey everyone, always lurked on forum but never registered. Im Currently in this BMOC and the instructors have openly talked about a class going in on the 28th or 29th. Not necessarily saying hey tell your buddies theres a class but theyve told speakers to save dates to come back. I have no reason to lie or to troll. I just wanted to spread some good news. With a class of 75+ LTs its safe to expect 100+ Sgt. Exciting news for everyone on the list & everyone recently promoted & in BMOC now myself included ... instructors have no reason to BS that news.

Finest tomorrow. The SGT rank is very short right now and they wanted this class out faster. I heard August was on the table for possible promos too. Let u know if I hear anything more concrete

First congrats to the 50 getting promoted.

Second just curious if anyone on the forum knows why the sudden change from 100 to 150 down to 50? I know we can speculate a bunch of reasons why, but curious if anyone who works at 1PP or knows someone who does can provide some insight.

Wondering if we should be expecting the remaining classes off this list to be small numbers

With 60 the last two classes, it seems to be the consistent # so far going forward. Look at it this way, there used to be gaps btwn classes. Those gaps followed by bigger classes. So instead dumping a huge class, theyre keeping a steady pace of 50-60. Its like having 100-150 every 2-3 months. When I drew out the potential to finish this list, mentioned 6 classes at 66 each. July & August classes of 60 & 50 have gone in. Still have 5 months, technically 6 months because a late January class would run into February, to get 4 more classes of 75 in. Looks better now than it did two months ago.
