All new recruits graduating soon are going to Transit for Field Training. Impact or IRT or whatever you would like to call it is coming back.

Its not necessarily Transit for field training. They will spend two weeks reporting to Transit to learn about Transit. They will be assigned to Patrol commands not Transit commands.

I work at a precinct. We've been sending cops to transit for some nonsense training. Guess they didn't want to just make this an nypdu video.

It is confirmed recruits will be doing something similar to IRT. This graduating class is expected to be a part of that. Apparently thats how theyll be spending their field training. Wonder if itll generate more supervisor positions

Technically it should but I wouldnt be surprised if the dept just tasks the patrol supervisors with supervising them along with regular patrol.

Lol hence the position of FTO Sergeant. Look, like they said, they want to set up zones where recruits graduate & report to a command in which they turn out to different Pcts of that zone. So yes, Id have to say Im sure there will be Sergeants & Lieutenants & even a Captain assigned to it. I think its a bit more than just wishful thinking. I dont see the department pulling FTO Sergeants from all precincts & dumping them into these zones.
