Has anyone checked the names of the people passed over? looks like a vast majority are from disciplinary reasons. Others may be waiting on a shield. But a few just dont make sense at all, unless theyre out with long term LOD injuries or military.
Yes, if youre actively serving when your number gets called you cant get promoted till youre back. Youll be promoted as soon as youre back, but put in an admin spot untill a BMOC starts.
I was always told you will be promoted and when you get back you will be sgt on paper and be assigned to the PA until bmoc.
Yes, thats exactly what I just said Im the reply to your question. You are technically passed over till youre back from military duty. Promoted right away and await the next BMOC
No. What I am saying as per personnel they stated military members are promoted when their list number is reached and just go to bmoc when it's available. So it's not the same. Passed over is you are not Sgt on paper.
I'm no expert just saying what personnel told me once upon a time.
yah, i think even tho you arent physically present when your list number gets called, you get promoted but just go to BMOC when you return. Had a guy who came to my command about a year after me give or take, picked vacation before me cause of his seniority.
