NCO Lieutenant?

Can anyone confirm a rumor coming from the puzzle palace of a new NCO Lieutenant position in a soon to be published interim order. I heard they want to do away with the Cop -> Sgt -> XO "NCO chain of command" and replace with a Cop -> Sgt -> NCO LT. Also, that they would need to promote approx 100 more LT's on top of the current vacancies. Just looking to hear if anyone heard anything similar or is it just "talk".

I've only heard that in this forum. I don't know how this would work, if NCO's get a LT, then what personnel will the special ops LT use to conduct operations? The SOL spot would be the most sought after spot, bc the SOL wouldn't do anything in the field.

Some people on here were saying it previously. Yesterday I was on the phone with someone who said that the NCO Lt. spot was going to happen. They weren't sure if it required 100 new Lt spots or they were just going to do away with 100 nonsense Lt spots to fill the NCO need.

I brought this up a few weeks ago. It was actually mentioned during NCO stat. From what I heard that 1PP that day the position of NCO LT will definitely happen. As far as 100 new Lieutenants or Lieutenants already in other positions Im not sure what direction they will go.

Not doubting anyone's info, but why wouldnt they pass off the nco thing to the SOL? What is an SOL really doing these days anyway?

Nco responsibilities are already covered by the sol.

It would only make sense that NCO sergeant report to the SOL. I can't see them adding a whole new LT position in every command for it.

Lots of commands have a SOL and a special projects Lt. I guess theres a new title for special projects Lt

In my experience the "special projects lieutenant" is the guy who got booted from ICO, SOL, OPS coord, and a platoon. They have nowhere else to hide him! lolol Gotta love civil service tests!

You hit it on the head with a lot of juice and getting hooked up.  When I was in a certain command, one of the current "Super Chiefs" was the Special Projects Lt.  I guess they wanted to give him 8 hours a day to study for Captain.

Yea special project Lt is usually a friend of the CO. Has no responsibilities and gets to go out and play cop if he/she feels like it.

Yeah from my experience special project Lt is the COs boy who he got transferred into the command. You can usually find him driving the CO, in the gym, or studying for capt.

Into a joint session of the SGT and LT class. Someone raised their hand and specifically asked if a NCO LT was being considered. The answer was clear. NO.
