Anyone else tired of all of these know it alls on either side of the list being cut at a certain number? Shut the **** up, its been 3 months of the same boring bull****. Lets keep it to bill barrels or whatever hes calling himself these days.

Laugh all you want buddy...but with this DCAS scaling nonsense all three lists: Sgt, Lt, and Capt will be cut.. the vacancies just arent there bro.. sure the job over promote in each rank..but over promoting by 600 in the sgt rank, 300 in the lt rank and 100 in the Capt rank is a far stretch. Basically each list would have to be extended for two years past the four years max.

DCAS didn't really screw anybody. Well, maybe a handful of people at the very bottom of the list who could potentially get jumped. But for the vast majority of people, nothing changed except it gave people who initially failed 1 version of the test a glimmer of hope.
People just need to expect the worse on this job and not get their hopes up. Its not being negative, its just being realistic. I am in the 1600's and I am iffy about it. Any kind of slow down/market crash (like 2008) and I am in trouble, so those behind me ... just be prepared.

Well said buddy..it happens with every promotional exam...then reality hits as the list slows up..there is no way in hell the job will promote over 1800 POs to sgt in four years!

Well said buddy..it happens with every promotional exam...then reality hits as the list slows up..there is no way in hell the job will promote over 1800 POs to sgt in four years!
As long as the overall head count of police officers stay the same and retirements amongst Sgts remain constant the rate of promotions for POs to Sgts will remain the same as prior lists and years. Why is everyone fighting this?!? Lol question is whether the lists will be extended beyond 4 yrs. I hope not bc its not fair to others coming up on 4 yrs... or whatever other time in rank to take another exam

And it will not be extended. The pc needs special circumstances and that would have no benefit for the dept. It would give you a worse pool of candidates and just lower morale for others who would wait for 6 years just to take a sgts exam.
If you dont get promoted off a fair exam you cant blame anyone but yourself.

Heard the list getting cut at 1200 exactly 300 a year will be promoted and then a new list will be established. This is confirmed.
lol confirmed info to see into the future. gotcha. meanwhile I have people in the CHIEF OF DEPARTMENTS OFFICE saying at LEAST 2k is the projection. stop it. the budget for this 2019 isn't even signed yet and wont be until July. There is absolutely NOTHING SOLID, only PROJECTIONS, NOT PREDICTIONS. And that projection is at LEAST 2k.

Latest word from under the PC's desk is that the list is being cut at 1000 because he likes nice even numbers.
