They delaying cuz of the contract issue. They dont want another 1 year top pay. They could at least release the list then wait. Dont get the delay myself.

It doesnt hurt either. Let people speculate. Whatever makes the time pass. Its not like the people who mention how they know this person and that person and my source is legit and then they give bs info. I dont know anyone at all anywhere. It would be nice if it came out this year but like I said before Im just going to bank on 2018. Cant go wrong. They have 12 months to prove me wrong.

Sgt bmoc class scheduled for beginning of January with end of Jan promotion.. mix of some holdovers from old list and the rest from the new list. Not sure exactly when the list will come out but it should be soon.

I provided you all with incredible information about your test. I told you that December was no longer happening days ago and that mid January looks like when things may Begin. No one knows the actual day the list will be released until the day or weekend before, however, those with good info know when they are planning to put in a class weeks ahead of time. Im tired of all the rumors so I called Dcas myself. I spoke to someone there and inquired about our list. She said her dept doesnt deal with that so I asked to transfer me to someone that does. So another female answered and told me this list is with them and not finalized as yet. She said Technically they have up to 12- 18 months to release the list! Us calling isnt going to do anything since it its not even a year yet. I was told its 2,600 ppl and hope that number is false. Thats a huge list size!

The woman on the phone from DCAS told you 2600 or are those just the rumors you heard?

My buddy called last week and he was told the same thing. DCAS isnt going to give out any information. Truth is that nobody seems to know what date this list is going to drop. The people who posted list is in PDs hands are very quiet all of a sudden.

Seriously. I don't know why people would come on here saying "The list in the PD's Hands!" and start tossing out list a list size and number of throw outs as if they actually saw the list. Crazy. I told you guys that the December class was canceled, and I was basically blown off. I also said the list wasn't coming out last week. Got blown off again. Not gonna say told you so. But besides that, I only share what I hear after I've heard it from multiple sources I trust. And what I hear is that the list is either around 1400 or 2600+ depending on who you speak to. More people told me though that it's around 2600+ though, And as I said, honestly it doesn't sound that crazy. If you have a LT list with about a 45 percent pass rate and a Capt test with a 45 percent pass rate, so even if the list was curved or there were an obscene amount of throw outs it would still be a far lower percentage. It's clear that things aren't like they were a couple years ago. So who knows what DCAS and our department have up there sleeves. And there are people I know personally have verified their vet points with a 65. Just gotta wait and see though. Have patience my friends! Try and relax and enjoy the holidays! It Seems I am the only one (other than 1 or 2 others) with any credible info. DCAS once in a while will slip and give out info. For the 2015 lt exam I got my List number from their certification unit before the Dept had the list. After about 25 calls they said they could no longer give out list numbers. Until next time, Ill keep sniffen around.

theyve made us wait this long...whats another three months to dcas and the city to make us wait? if they put the list out now the job is going to start pulling from the list and you can bet the city doesnt want that. As ive said before...March. At the very earliest late February.

So All The hold overs Sgt from 2013 list that was supposed to get promoted Friday arent getting promoted anymore job says they dont know what to do with them. So only captains and detectives getting promoted.

I was under the impression that according to civil service policy, if you get passed over, once you are cleared, you must be promoted at the next promotion. Nothing to do with a bmoc class. Am I wrong?
