Rising Star is now going live! We are taking orders for our first live class--the 2017 Lieutenant exam

Hello all,

I've been pretty busy since retiring in February; after 10 years of doing mail order Tony and I decided to take Rising Star to the next level. The first order of business was to scrap our Patrol Guide notes and replace it with the Essential Guide--this is finally done (see description below--and go to our site to see a sample). The next step was to develop a live class; I am happy to report that we have done that as well!

We are now taking pre-orders so we can efficiently schedule our classes. We will be holding classes in Brooklyn/SI, Bronx/Upstate, Queens/Nassau/Suffolk! Exact locations/times to be determined--so spread the word!

Pre-order now and receive a limited edition Rising Star Challenge Coin

Details as follows:
Location and times: To be determined
Cost: $699
Classes will be for 20 weeks PLUS cram course.

Format: The material will be mailed to you a week before class! This gives you an opportunity to review the  material before class.
Each class will be over 3 hours of intense review!

A digital Essential Guide will be made available

Weekly online quizzes

A printed Essential Guide* with Lieutenant's duties and below only (one section a week)

In-basket class

Legal Bureau bulletins and questions, judgement scenario, Crime Classification Guide, and anything else they might throw your way!

*The Essential Guide is our new Patrol Guide. It's the actual Patrol Guide, word for word, without the unnecessary actors (no duty inspector/chief, Operations, Chief of Personnel, Borough Commanders duties, etc). It contains notes, tips, new acronyms (some procedures will have multiple acronyms--you choose the one the makes you remember the procedure and cross off the others). Difficult sections have summaries/takeaways at the end of the procedure and the "fluff" is faded gray (not deleted, so you can still glance at it). The Essential Guide is also easier on the eyes; the actual patrol guide highlights department forms and includes the form number--we got rid of this and took off the highlights so it's more reader friendly.

We will also tape the classes in case you miss it and we will be available online as well for those who prefer home study or in case you miss a class!

We will be delivering the most comprehensive and thoughtful course for live or home study!

Pre-order now!
