A city exam monitor had a side business selling heroin and cocaine, making his deals under the arch of the Manhattan Municipal Building and near a Harlem school, authorities said Wednesday.

Benjamin Henderson, 50, even wore his municipal ID card during one of the seven deals he made with an undercover cop, prosecutors said.

Henderson worked as an exam monitor on an as-needed basis for the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, said agency spokeswoman Cathy Hanson.


The department administers Civil Service tests.

Going forward, we will no longer be using his services, Hanson said.

Henderson was arraigned Wednesday night and ordered held on $150,000 bail.
