... From a little birdie... That the PC is looking for a way to resolve the lawsuit, and they are looking for a way to do this quickly but fairly. Reznick is looking into the test takers, especially the makeup test takers...
They are trying to resolve it ASAP and of course make sure the people that passed fairly can get promoted. Looking to get it resolved so they can promote off the list by end of May.
Just what I heard....

Thank you for the info. This would be an ideal situation. Original test date passers are promoted, anyone suspect is investigated, and the lawsuit has a resolution in sight.
Everyone gets fxxked, the promotion gets delayed, the next lt exam subsequently gets delayed too. The slimy 9s also lost... only the cop hater lawyer gets richer.
The Department is moving to promote 33-40 lieutenants late May / early June. Some who are still under investigation from the make up exam will be skipped. It goes back to the judge now, who may move to prevent the promotions.
Is the 45 Lt rumor a temporary fix until they start promoting or permanent? If it's temporary it barely pays, by the time they select, chart change and offer some sort of refresher training and requal everyone at the range, it will be time to promote off the new list.

Lol. I don't think the dept offers a "refresher" for active personnel and even house mouses have to go to the range twice a year. So really they just need to chart change them and wipe their tears.
If I'm not mistaken, they did that for the past 2 summer all-outs. The first week would be use of force training, range re-qual etc. If you have ever seen a 1PP mobilization you will see alot of Lt's that have not been out on patrol for decades with six shot revolvers swinging and wood batons. I don't know that the "job" would want that situation to occur.
