There are individuals with a vested interested, that will post anything here, in order to bait you into a negative reaction. Later, your comments will be misconstrued, screenshot, and ultimately, end up on Randy McLaughlin's desk. DON'T POST ON THIS FORUM.......
The list will not be thrown out, the only ones that have to worry are the make up scam takers. Who scammed a old line of duty, or make up drill, or the ones that found their new religious rights that they never followed until test time. Those are the ones that should worry not the elite ones that passed on their own merit. These 9 are fighting a battle that we all complained about. So yes u might have to wait a month or so for ur promotion, but the light has been shined on these scammers. Now the whole world knows they have no integrity. Good luck to all and hopefully in a few hours we will know the outcome. On a selfish side i hope the judge gives the the original test takers an extra point so i can get on the list lol.
I would have highly respected the "9" had they stuck to the facts:
- the SYSTEM is flawed
- numerous people take the make up exam for frivolous reasons
- those taking the make up exam have an obvious unfair advantage
- the make up given 2 months after the initial exam and protest is ridiculous
- the ops orders, ccrg, and questions after the cut off date should be tossed
- the TVB process is flawed
Instead I look down on them because of their lying and crying:
- people on 4/18 cheated
- people on 4/18 were whispering in the bathroom
- people brought their cell phones into test
- my chair was not comfortable
- it was really noisy outside
- etc...
The people who passed on test day deserve to be promoted. Period. The end. If I were in their shoes I would be raising the black flag and preparing for war. To the failures; grow up, there will be another test soon. To the make-up test takers who scammed; I hope the job gives you what you deserve.
I agree with you 100% DETSGT. I am not happy about the revelations that came about in that part either, but something HAD to be done. It was gonna be promos as usual and no harm no foul had the 9 not done this. The list u gave is an excellent, excellent basis for the flaws. I just don't know how the make up scammers have been forgotten about. that is whats puzzling me. I failed---yes. im not saying put me on list. im just saying do NOT forget how much damage the scammers have done, people have lost sight of this and I think its nuts. they are the worst of this job.

im glad you see it.....they completely went overboard and out of jealously created a barrage of lies with the intent to screw the legit passers over.......desperation is a stinky cologne.

This is a foul ball. Friends of mine have been affected by this promotion delay. They studied hard and took this test on April 18 and passed. They had nothing to do with cheating. They did not assist any cheaters. They played by the rules and now they are being punished for the sins of others. I have posted in the past that the whole promotion process needs to be gutted from top to bottom. However, true to form, the Department chooses to REACT (over-react?) instead of proactively responding and correcting a flawed system. So now it seems they will throw the baby out with the bathwater. I hope they reconsider. Good decisions sometimes require very hard work - work it seems very few have taken the trouble to undertake to determine who should fairly be penalized. They have only had about a year to review the mess they created. One would think that they would have formulated a plan to respond other than wholesale disruption and disrespect to those who wasted countless hours memorizing the overblown and underwhelming piece of anti-literature called the NYPD Department Manual (or "Patrol Guide"). My solution would be to promote everyone that has not been identified with an allegation first. Investigate and promote (or not promote) those specifically identified. However, I would not stop here. I would submit that the entire process be outsourced to a competent authority for all future testing. I don't see how the 9 litigants who failed were wronged by those who passed on April 18 without cheating. I do see how they (and many others) were wronged by the extra bunch who may have cheated afterwards.

And it already has done more than any of us did crying here for the las year....thank god for Ondeeair and the brave 9 for stepping up and bringing to light the disaster of faulty tests and cheating that has been happening for years. I hope change is coming. And if a couple of eggs like entitled Wisecop get broken in the process, so be it. That too may be necessary.

We wanted justice. We wanted our voices to be heard. How else would we break this unfairness/ unjust cycle.
We are upset at the 9 who brought the lawsuit, who spoke up for our cries, when we should really be upset at those "cheaters/ scammers."
I am not part of the nine whose suing, however, I do support this lawsuit with hopes that this lawsuit investigates those who took the makeup exam and revisits the process of how they administer future exams. The cheating and scamming has gone on for way to long.
This lawsuit was a way to shed light on what has been overlooked for many years. I have great friends who passed this exam. This exam has been one of the most challenging Lt's exam known to NYPD history. It was not a perfect exam for DCAS to amend zero changes. Perhaps it's this lawsuit that would help DCAS see that.

I'm personally very disappointed at the moderators of risingstar...I doubt eze, the founder authorized the actions of nypd80, but nypd80 is the one that now needs to go for trying to manipulate the exchange of ideas just because he personally doesn't agree with them.
