Daily news, Ny1 and and any other media outlet should report how unfair it is that Nypd Sergeants that practice certain religions and military personnel who are risking there lives in NYC and as a soldier defending this country are being labeled as cheaters because of 9 jealous, envious losers who failed the test. The NYPD and the city law department do not want to violate federal law and discriminate against our real heros and our brilliant Sergeants who practice various religions and faiths. Maybe those 9 disrespectful, intolerant, selfish cowards should learn how to be more tolerant of our cities multicultural population and understand we have laws to protect people from being discriminated against. They say they want and deserve to be a Lt. but can't handle taking a test in a controlled environment with a little music. How are they going to make a swift and wise decision in a chaotic situation in the streets of NYC. These clowns are willing to lye and fabricate stories because they are envious, jealous and evil individuals. They have no integrity and don't belong on this job.

Many of us have overreacted when first learning of the lawsuit admitedly myself. I cannot believe that the makeup test takers had the same inbasket and the same answers for 1-20. I will admit that I was so wrong about the 9 guys on the lawsuit. I apologize to the individuals on the lawsuit for my criticism. I was wrong in being judgemental without knowing all the facts and not understanding the importance in what the lawsuit can accomplish. DCAS messed this whole exam up and we all have to stick together. After thinking about this whole thing I was so wrong about the character of the 9 Sgts on the lawsuit. I respectfully take back my words. These Sgts are not jealous or envious, they were wronged by the testing process. They are very brave just like our soldiers. Hopefully this lawsuit will force DCAS to make much needed changes to the make up exam process. I am hopeful that the testing process will be improved when we take the next Lt test.
Because if I fail a test on April 18, people cheating 2 months later are to blame. This makes perfect sense.
Nooooo !!! But the issue is the cheaters who took the test months later already had the answers to the in-basket (which consisted of 20% of the exam). Clearly the exam and the process was flawed so the lawsuit was needed. Stop being so bitter about guys attemping to change the process. The lawsuit won't put the 9 guys on the list but hopefully it will change the process (in a positive way) and it will prevent a disaster of an exam from reoccurring (which will benefit all MOS taking promotional exams in the future).
Believe what you will about justice and honor, but they're trying to negotiate their way onto the list. Don't think for a second they're doing it for their country or some other nonsense. If the city gives them their curve, they will vanish into the nothingness from which they came.

And in regards to the next test what makes you think 9 failures from that test won't hear whispers in the bathroom or bands rehearsing outside the testing site?
We all know the outcome they will promote in a few months and state that there was no cheating, even tho we have proof that the makeup exam takers already had the answers for 20% of the exam. Thats not even factoring in questions they picked up from people talking, so yes these 9 r fighting to have this process fixed as we all screamed for while we waited for the list. Your lacking your screen name. If these 9 show there was cheating then the test will be thrown out not curved to make people feel better. The judge's decision is not going to be " I believe more likely than not that the make up testers cheated, thus I wave my wand and make the passing score 65".
Like I said before I would have commended the 9 had they stuck to the facts instead of spewing lies about the original test date. And if they truly believed that cheating occurred why didn't they make proper notifications? Instead of waiting until the list was established, realizing they did not pick up any throwouts and now cry foul?
In the end all this will do is delay promotions and delay the next Lt test since this one will be tied up in litigation.

I think the test should be thrown out, I know some of the people that passed and took it after everyone else and these people barely passed sgt's test and did the same scam . I want to join the nine lawsuit and everyone else should this is the first time they actually got promotions cancelled. I think who ever didn't take the test on the orginal date shouldn't be promoted. I'm hearing that the job is taking this seriously and they will put a lot under investigation and slow the list down and only promote the orginal test takers up to one year list is good and up to 4 with PC's permission. I'm also hearing its more then 9.

We all feel like we got screwed over by DCAS. your right the judge won't wave his magic wand and do the curve, but he might slam down his gavel and throw out the list once he sees how the make up exam had questiions in the same order as the original test date. Which gives the make up exam an unfair advantage over the rest of us.
Now the job took a black eye over this exam hopefully it will look into redoing the promotional exams. We all know how this job is they might try to open up the TVB board in order to save face once they see the outcome from the TVB readings.
The failures wish to get a fair tvb board or satisfactory reasons not generic ones why there were no throw outs, the orginial date passers dont want the list thrown out they want to get promoted rightfully so they earned it.
No one knows what the job might do, its going to be a waiting game now.

Nonetheless if the test is thrown out another lawsuit will arise further delaying the next Lt test. Had the 9 stuck to legitimate gripes and not alleged whispers, marching band practice, and mean proctors, I would be cheering them instead of aligning them with Bernie sanders supporters.
