I feel for you. This was an abomination from the beginning. But the bigger picture is a crisis for the NYPD in the future. With yet another disaster of a test fewer and fewer people will want to obtain rank. Why waste time and money on what will essentially be a crap shoot. I know many people who took this test. Good People. Good Cops. Who would be excellent supervisors. Non of them will take another test. I can't really blame them. Any organization in which the bulk of people do not wish to move up is a dying organization. We may not see the effects of this debacle immediately but trust me in 10 years the NYPD will reap what it sowed with the 2015 LT test.

Look no further than the captain rank to see what's going on. They have to bribe people with a pittance of cash OT to get people to sit for the exam.

i agree with this. it is a sad state the job is in. rock bottom. i didnt wanna see any of this, its terrible. but something had to change. and the saddest part of this is seeing some of the "elite" s true colors come out in this. like wisecop berating everyone. some questions went ur way---relax. ur no better then the rest of us failures. the exam was a game of inches. instead of directing anger at me u should be focused on the makeup scammers who created this. and sixthmonth we could care less if ur takingthe capt exam and so could the job. stop ur crying really.

goodbye. the commissioner and job did their absolute best by stopping the rewardance of makeup scammers. i cant believe what im seeing on this site. yes i am sorry to the elite that you didnt get ur prize, u deserved it. but unfortunately in war there is collateral damage. this is a war that needed to be fought and the band of 9 are braver then most of you will ever be. they stood their ground when a battle needed to be fought which 99% of you 164 never would have fought. your hating the wrong people. thats all im saying.  i am disgusted by how some of u cry babies are acting on this site. me me me. your 2300+ fellow sgts went to a slaughter and now have the chance for their voice to be heard and u lynch mob attack them and berate them on this site. selfish behavior. you think your time spent is any more valuable then the 2300+ that were away from their kids, studied 1000 s of hours, missed family functions, etc. well guess what------its NOT. dont worry tho i will go away cause one thing i do know is that this aint going away anytime soon. its just started and it aint gonna be pretty. the fact that you abandoned your fellow sgts is disgusting and are actually siding with makeup scammers just to get ur prize shows me your character. adios.

Your sorry*** failed the test and just can't take it that there are Sgts you know who are smarter and have way more integrity than you who passed the Lt test, are on the list and will get promoted. If the slimy 9 scammers really wanted to see change they would have handled this differently. They could have gone to the SBA and requested their union in which they pay dues to fight to change the testing day. They could of been honest and not tell fairy tales. It is obvious what the intentions of the 9 weasels are. They are attempting to sabotage the list solely based on the fact that they are not on the list. This is completely unacceptable. Yes the 9 weasels may have studied as hard as the passers but I'm sorry but the test was very hard and the Lt rank is a very hard rank to obtain. It's not for everyone. Stop the jealousy. Ondeair is one of the 9 weasles and has no self respect. You should truly be ashamed of yourself. You are scum.

Future promotion tests should be broken down into 3 parts. Part 1: written, part 2: physical fitness test ,and part 3 an interview

I would make the physical fitness test similar to the NFL combine/Reebok crossfit competition. For example how many 225lb bench press reps you could do, the 40 yard dash . Standing high jump, long jump. Romanian deadlifts reps at 225lbs. What do you guys think?

I could care less about scammers or whatever else is going on with this test. I just think it would be for the good of the department to have physical fitness testing for promotion
