As of this moment there is a full investigation being launched into the rampant cheating that took place during the make up exams by individuals claiming the Sabbath/ Military/LOD and pregnancies. As we all know the percentage of people who took and passed the makeup exam is around 80%. That percentage is astronomically impossible when you take into account how many people failed the original exam unless there was vast cheating occurring. Better yet one particular individual got a perfect score. Either he was Gods gift to test taking or he was one over zealous cheater. Either way IAB is involved and they are attacking this subject with both barrels for it promises to be the next big scandal plaguing the NYPD. Bratton has shown he has no tolerance for cops who are unforthright.

According to my friend in IAB, 4 people have already come forward and fessed up to cheating on the Lt's exam. Of course they have been promised immunity just as long as they provide details and especially names of other people who helped them cheat. I assure you that this investigation will blossom into a much larger witch hunt and I expect many many people to be exposed and dealt with properly. My friend even went on  to tell me that they are even investigating past make up exam takers which might lead to demotions in the future. The powers that be are approaching this scandal just like they approached the ticket fixing scandal. Sadly my buddy says their will be a lot of collateral damage starting with this test most likely being thrown out and a new test setup up to replace it. It was done before in 1996 or so and surely it will most likely be done again.
