Petition: Weekday Exam!

How can we start a petition for future tests to be held on a weekday?  That way guys with their bull**** religious observations are not making up a large percentage of the list and with all high scores for a test that was practically impossible to pass!  The only people who should take it after are for the deployed Servicemembers that are not scamming.  It will be real easy... we all take it in the academy.

First off, how about unfair advantage we take it in ghetto neighborhoods with riffraff screaming and blasting music outside the windows, the makeup jerkoff takes it in a quiet room at Dcas.......

The only way to create awareness on the rampant cheating is to expose this to the media.

Agreed. Easiest and most effective way

I will sign that in a minute. There should be some sort of website that does that online and then we start forwarding it to all the sergeants on this job. Also all sick/injured people should take it if they are out with bull****. There is no reason you can't take a test with a broken ankle or sprained wrist.

If this trend is creating a disproportionate advantage for certain protected groups and it's being used as a scheme for financial gains and no one is doing anything about it? The Inspector general needs to take a look at this. If you're a sabbath observer or military person forget college, join the NYPD, cheat the exams and retire early making hundreds of thousands.

Could you pretend to be a sabbath observer when sign for the test?  Essentially, if you don't normally have Friday Saturday off would DCAS catch it if you requested the alternate date?

All SGTs should refuse to sign up for the next test

I don't believe in giving the test a different day because people will find ways to miss the date. Changing the way the test is given is a better approach.

Multiple booklets for different dates, generated by a computer. Game over.

Those who are sabbath should have to take it before us, not after us.

Why the next day ? I don't get it just give it to everyone on Sunday.  What's so hard about that. Why they get a different day? Is corruption....

I heard that it can't be given to the sabbath observers a day before everyone else. That would be UNFAIR. Someone said they won a lawsuit on the grounds of one less day to study.

I say we let the SBA hear our gripes first (not that they would care), next William Bratton and the news last. We have to make noise.

Has to be news first. If they do take off with it that would force the bigs to deal with it. Instead of blowing is off i feel

We have to let the job know we have a problem first. They're going to say "What disparaging treatment l, we didn't know those Sgts felt that way". When they don't act, then we go elsewhere.

Again guys.... you are putting the crosshairs on the wrong city agency. DCAS is the one that sets the rules for, and administers exams. NYPD just receives a list.

I'm willing to participate in any means to get this nonsense fixed. It really isn't asking a lot to have everyone take the exam the same day. It's worth a shot as long as we make enough noise

I had taken the Nassau County Police test and it was given at the Nassau Coliseum. It was a gigantic room full of tables and chairs and monitors who walked around. I don't understand why DCAS can't use or locate a similar venue where people aren't driving all over the place and it makes it more fair because everyone is there testing under the same conditions. I remember hearing stories of certain schools weren't allowed to use highlighters and at one school kids were at the playground yelling and screaming. I'd say on average less than 3000 people take the Lt test so a venue being able to accommodate that shouldn't be too difficult to find. Then just make it on a weekday and you'll have an exam that's as fair as it can get as far as testing accommodations go.

Regardless of all the stupid BS that has happened in the past, this is definitely the first time in modern history where being Jewish or a scammer reservist has played a pivotal role in getting on the list in a good position.

Before it was always something tolerated and factored in, but while back when only 10% of passers were cheaters it was accepted, now that half of the list is ******* cheaters we must draw the line in the sand and say enough is enough. This is a totally different situation than we faced in the past.

Approximately half of the passing grades being scammers is not acceptable, the public must be informed.

We now have a Police Academy the size of f****** LaGuardia Airport.  Why don't they just administer the test there on a WEEKDAY?  With a little planning, they can find something to do with the recruits (driver training, range, EDP workshop at John Jay, etc.)

What pisses me off is I cant bring a fvcking cell phone into the place, I need to practically be escorted to the bathroom and have some crackhead from DCAS watch me take a leak because God forbid I have a stop-n-chat with someone about the weather. And God forbid you get stuck in traffic and sow up after the test started, youll be disqualified on the spot. All that is strictly enforced. But its ok for people to have weeks and even months to research the exam and score in the top 50 with half the effort having CHEATED. Guys, we NEED to what we can to address this. Petition, union gripes, whatever. The cheaters effects all of us in that it makes the list longer than it should be which means more time until the next exam, which means it takes longer to get promoted, which is money out of our pockets!!

I too will participate in a protest in front of DCAS. I mentioned the whole scenario to one of my best friends who is not on the job, and her response was that she too will come out and support during a protest since she knows how much went into this exam.

We are in need of a coordinator to gather all our names and contact info, this will also help when we move forward with a lawsuit.

Ok so this isn't bs. Im one step to going to the media with this as i didnt pass .This is obviously an integrity issue as the department is allowing undeserving supervisors supervise the officers that protect the city. They have supervisory powers to make calls on decisions which is affect people without proper preparation.. They do this by cheating on a test and not learning the information like it should be done. This sounds to me like the recent cpr scandal where we "get the answers" when cpr trained. Unfortunately in order for change to occur the best step is the media so let's expose this. Enough with the talk let's do it.
