So after discussing it with your guy, you gonna go with 10 changes?

I think this list will be released Nov-Dec.

Counting holdovers, the 2011 List has about 70 people left

Lt promotions skipped for 2 months in a row = 2011 list will be exhausted by Dec.
2015 list will be established in Oct, first hires off list in Dec or Jan.
2015 list will be between 400-500, next test sometime latter half of 2017.
All guesstimates.

I agree with this. They can't promote from our list in November because there's still 50+ on the old list. I know the vacancies are there to exhaust that list. My prediction is the 2011 list is exhausted with a big class in November, then it's our turn in January.

Last month wasn't really skipped. The 27 who were supposed to be promoted today were merely postponed. The bafoons somehow failed to realize the ceremony would conflict with the UNGA and POTUS. Anyway,that's 27 imminent promotions right there. They're adding 1,300 cops this fiscal year. Presumably, they need to add Sgt and Lt spots accordingly. It would be about 55 Lt's if you use the basic 1 Lt/3 Sgt/24 PO formula. I have no idea if it works that way but, in any case, it's logical to assume some number of Lt spots would be added. In addition you have regular attrition. It's been at a snails pace because of the economy. Once the contract came down and guys could start cashing in their terminal it picked up. I personally know 7 Lts who just retired or will be retired shortly after the Papal/UNGA Overtime bonanza ends. I think the 1st class will be promoted before the new year. I also think they will go through the 1st 100 names before June.

Hearing rumors now of a list size of approx. 375-400 names, not confirmed at this time but heard it from a good source. A little smaller than originally thought, but we will see what happens after the smoke clears

with 10 changes I see it happening. everyone i know failed but 4 people in my command alone including myself are in 67-69 bracket. The million dollar question now is what number questions they threw / changed .

but this doesn't explain why a couple of lieutenants who want to be off patrol, would go back to patrol a month before they need to?
