Re-Engineering and LT exams

Little food for thought, recently spoke to few people who participated in the re-engineering process. They said that people were complaining that Lt tests are administered too far apart, minimum 4 years(2006/2011/2015), and that they can only take few of them before retirement as oppose to sgt(07/08/09/11/13) and capt(10/12/13/14). In order for the job to administer Lt tests more frequent, the lists have to be relatively small. To get small list, the exam has to be very challenging, something that we saw back in April. It was a consensus even among school prep instructors that after 2011 Lt exam the job will give more straightforward exam, because they cant go there twice, but unfortunately they did, and 2015 exam was as, and if not more challenging than 2011 exam as passing #s show. Looks like this is going to be a new trend for Lt exams and we might expect another exam sooner than later.

You may be correct,  but I also dont think the job wanted a 200 person list either.   I think they were probably looking for at least 350 to 400., which is what they might get after a few throwouts.

I heard from a cashier at the P.A. that she heard from a guy at the bus stop that overheard two recruit candidates for a 2017 recruit class who heard it from an EMS guy at a wellness check that heard it from a Amazon.com stock person that overheard Auxiliary sergeant that heard it from the guy who holds the STOP/SLOW signs at street construction site that heard it from a High School Sophomore that could almost swear she heard it from her friend's cousin who was thinking about being a traffic enforcement agent who overheard a restaurant waiter that heard it from a voice behind a dark alley during a cigarette break .....
