just remember who the scammers are----cause their integrity will always be suspect. they do it every exam. and laugh all the way to the bank as you spend your hard fought time studying. and for the info the boro of queens south has the most make up examiners. my buddy does have that info---and its staggering how many of these guys are taking military make ups. and no---they werent deployed just FYI. queens marines----take a bow.
84. 18 in queens south with man south close behind at 16. of course the special units collar brass u don't know has the most but queens stuck out when I saw it. counter terrorism has a few as well. 14 returned from overseas deployments after 4/18. yep got my people in MELD. the coast guard reserve had 11 make ups lol. thank the reservist in ur cmd for cheating you and ur local reserve coast guard guy. he's prob never deployed in his life for that matter. but he ll be ur boss. just gotta deal w it. always been. and the former chief of dept aka banks and pegues were 3 time make up guys. lol. even ran a promo school ! shoulda just told everyone to join some bologna reserve unit and take the make up.
52 military and 32 religious observers. I say 60 pass out of 84. that's just a guess on passing. so add another 60 to the elite 128 lol. still only 188. still almost 60 less then the 241 who passed in 2011. there is either gonna be a lot of throw outs or not many at all--meaning they ll make their 400-500 list or fly with this one and give another exam in a year and a half. either way I wish u all luck I'm too close to 20 and this was my shot. didnt pan out that's all.
and relax on the attacks. cause rite now no one knows anything. I do know the make up numbers but my buddy has told me exactly that. either gonna be a lot of tosses & doubles or they ll just go with passers and scammers. no one thougt it d turn out this way. and the top brass isn't happy. hey won't do anything about it. but hey weren't happy about it. good luck to all

Call me crazy, but if there are 84 makeup test takers, I would guess less than 30 actually pass. That inbasket was just too hard and it was the downfall of most people who took the test. That combined with the fact that not all 84 are likely studying hard, it won't be as easy for them as people think. It will be interesting to see how well they do, and how much of an advantage they truly have for this debacle.
no im with majors. its usually around 55-60% passing rate and with this exam which is very tough i d say there might be less. however---what was on this exam is widely known and esp if u have the OO heads ups. the in basket u can botch but knowing the other stuff is huge. and they do. so im sticking with the 60 number---this exam has gotten a lot more chatter this go around. however--i did hear a scammer was thrown from one queens south pct to pbqs pct recently. when it came time launch some sgts, the co who is evidently a big military guy, didnt exactly like that this guy played the scam card. so he went bye bye. can anyone confirm this?
I'm going to quote Gamblor, who was on the promotional exam re-engineering team, from another thread:
"in another thread, someone stated that 53 people took the makeup exam for the 2011 Lieutenants exam, and 44 passed. The actual number was 32 and only 17 passed (passing rate of 53%). That is higher than the 29% of people that passed the exam on the initial date, but not as astronomical as initially insinuated. At the end of the day, 17 people, out of a total 2295 who sat for the 2011 Lieutenants exam, may have benefited in some way due to the alternate test date. That isn't something to cry over."
If the passing rate of the last LT Exam makeup was 53%, I'd bet it will be lower this time based on the outlandish inbasket. My 2 cents, we will see soon enough.
Edit: Also, that exam had a pass rate of 29%, this exam has an initial pass rate of 5%. This one will be much harder.

There always will be scammers on this job... Probably even more so now since everyone gets paid the same; meaning that at the end (retirement) their OT will not count as pensionable. Why should i work harder than you mentality... You know what Im saying... Just saying!!!!! I've seen it already...
LMAO ondeeair get a ****ing life... You such a hater. Think about it these guys don't scam. dcas allows this to happen. My question to you is. If you had the same opportunity like this folks had, what would you do??? Be honest buddy. And by the way the job allows you to join the military . Common man be all you can be. Or go ahead and Join the Few the proud... Ohhhhh maybe you to fat to pass a APFT.

Its not about being a hater or not. This guys had 2 months extra plus everyone talking about the test, this guy i know who took the test today said he did good.
Lu515 ondeeair is a big hater. And every situation is different, some of the guys may be in fact scamming. For example the ones that are active in the dept and then miraculously have drill the day of the exam. But there are other military folks that do deploy ****ing overseas, and risk their lives. He won't never experience that. But once again this military folks don't make the rules, they just taking advantage of an opportunity. And I blame a lot of folks in this forum, if you don't want this guys to have advantage don't say **** about the exam.
I second that idea FODX , I'll past that exam for sure. Between talking to people about the exam , checking these forums and studying an extra 2 months .

There were some very brave men and women who are members of the Coast Guard Reserve who had no choice but to be deployed to military drill at their bases in Staten Island lol... These are the idiots who give the brave military men and women a bad rap who are legitimately overseas and defending our country and forced to be away from their friends, family, and career.

I know a guy from the South Bronx, A.K.A. "Debo"(wink), whose daughter had Holy Communion on April 18. I 100% agree that there are those people that are true holy scammers and that goes the same for military people too.
But really, is a guy going to tell his daughter, "sorry sweetheart, I can't come to your sacrament of holy communion ceremony because I have to take an exam so I won't be called a 'scammer'." Plus, "Debo" was surprised, and of course happy, to hear from the DCAS lady that the religious observers were not taking the following day as it has been in all previous exam make ups.
So we can't hate the Religious observers on this one. Ask DCAS.
Also, I know exactly what it feels like working holidays, missing functions and parties because of 28s being denied. Also I know how it is getting approved for a change. I felt the zing of envyness an disgust of the observers getting an extra 2 months, but it is really not on them. And a buddy defended the observers(not the military reservists) and had told me I "should not be hating them or my friend on this exam because it was DCAS' doing scheduling it 2 months later". Then he went on to say about debo with his daughter saying that I should never put in for a day off on another holiday, birthday, etc because that would be considered 'scamming' the others that do have to work just the same way I accused debo of scamming for his Kidd communion. It made sense at least for a communion accommodation. You can't reschedule the sacrament of holy communion for your kid for a test. Who would really miss that? None of us would. These exams should be in the middle of the week.
problem settled
sorry ry to mention you Debo. Had to make a point.

"Debo" sounds like a guy I know from PSA 7 who had the same scam.

That's actually not a scam.
That's actually a legit observance. It's the school's day the ceremony was scheduled. No one knew the make up test would be two months later until they had to go to file for the observance at the a DCAS office. make ups used to be the following day.
its really not scamming.

F#cK debo and his scam, the only way anyone should be getting out of this test is if you're literally on a hospital bed dying or you're overseas fighting for this country... short of that, theres a test once every four F@cking years, find a way to make it to this one date.
This is how dcas needs to be, stop being a liberal pussyfart and make no accomodations, you can miss something of importance once every four years.... sorry, deal with it, and suck it the **** up!
